hereist is here filling in for leigh glaser tonight .'s. >> unfortunately not.n fact, the air was pretty stagnant today. but that is what allowed temperatures to come up so high. we broke a few records in three bay area locations. 67 is your high today and breaking a record of 66 set in 1997. got up to 7° in moffett field and breaking another record in 1994 and 72° in gilroy and breaking a record set in 1980. let's go outside and show you what is going on right now. this is from the sutro tower looking toward the north. you can see the coastal clouds moving in. as we pan to the right, we can see the downtown san francisco area with the bridge. with the stagnant air we are seeing the cool air in the valleys, and that's what is making the fog develop as well. so we will take you to the temperatures right now, and we have quite a range. check out santa rosa. already 38 degrees and fairfield 36. so in the valleys wler the cool air pools, that's where we will see this fog develop. and then along the coast it is still 52 in san francisco and 53 in half moon bay. and s
