leslie brinkley explains exactly what happened. >> reporter: 9:00 a.m. a costar train hit a dump truck stuck on the tracks as recorded by a driver waiting at the crossing. >> it was just an accident. i got stuck. >> reporter: the driver of the truck and his passenger got out just before the collision. the truck driver said he had a full load and was headed to the dump when he tried to drive up over the track and into the train crossing on fruitvale avenue. >> all of a sudden i saw that i was stuck in that was when i saw the light. i said, oh my god. i tried to back it up and go forward. nothing. i got off the truck right away and ran all the way over there to try to stop him to see me so he would slow down. >> reporter: two engine >>> the truck down the track 20 yards. remarkably, nobody was injured even the passengers that were on board going from seattle to los angeles. >> it just started slowing down and was kind of a halt but not too abrupt. everybody was safe. it wasn't too scary. then they told us that we hit something and we had to get off. >> rep

leslie brinkley talked with people about it in the east bay. >> it's frustrating. we kind of feel like we've gotten the short end of the stick during this whole situation. >> reporter: the owners of las palmas barbershop in walnut creek said for months they were deemed too dangerous to stay open. now they aren't essential enough to get a vaccine. >> it's frustrating because we don't know how long the wait might be to receive the vaccine. it could be weeks, months or who knows how long. >> you know we called the customer, and they say because we not vaccine, so they don't want to come in yet. >> reporter: this nail slon owner says they can't build their customer base back up without a vaccine. >> yeah, i think it's kind of frustrating for the younger people, the younger generation because i really want to go live my life again. >> reporter: for some people, social media can trigger jealous or anger that they haven't been selected to get the vaccine yet. >> it's incredibly stressful for people, and it brings up a lot of anxiety of when is it going to happen for me? o
