summer time romaine lettuce, a little smaller than the winter time romaine lettuce, but the quality andre. but you have to select it and store them right. when you select it, you want to make sure -- look how green it is. standing straight up like this. the leaves don't overlap. that is not what you want whatsoever. make sure where it is cut, it is nice and clear and free from any browning whatsoever. now, the best way to store, that i say that all the time, you crisp it, and do with all of your leaf lettuce. use some cold water and put it in the lettuce for 20 seconds and take it out and shake out the excess water and put a paper towel around it and put it in the refrigerator. it will stay nice and crisp five to 10 times more. and that's a restaurant trick by the way. and i like to enjoy it this time of the year and i grill it. i take the leaf of the romaine lettuce and put it on the grill for 10 seconds, olive oil and salt and pepper and take it out and put it on your hamburger or caesar salad with grilled romaine. you will love it. enjoy the romaine this time of the year. it is wonde
