so if you go to lewis county, you can see those of lewis county now snow-free but there's light snowshower act of there. if we had a little bit farther on the east, you see mason and bracken counties along with robertson county still some snowshower act of, nothing very heavy. then from bracken county into pendleton still some snowshower overall it's on its way out of here. the low pressure system that caused it now crossing the appalachian mountains. the winds over the appalachian mountains, what they do is they rise over the mountains and they sink. that lowers the relative humidity. and that kind of dries it out, makes it hard for it to snow over here, so we didn't get the big snows that they got in the east about the now the moisture and energy moving with the low to the other side of the mountains, so it's a problem for the east coast and we're left with clearing trends. so what we find here is that 3:00 this afternoon, the snow was right on top of us. the northern edge of it. the edge was right on top of us a couple hours later. as of 9:30 p.m. the northern edge of the snow right on

there are extreme southeastern counties including adams, mason, robertson and lewis. everyone else is out of the woods, if you will, with that chance of snow showers in the forecast, in fact, as far as snow totals go. this may need to be tweaked later in the day but it did fall in the southeastern counties 3- 6 inches roughly and the west union farther to the south and east and that' s where they got the brunt of it. and did receive most areas 1- 3" as far as snowfall with those that fell on the less to 1 inch range out there. it made it hard to forecast for the bullseye of the event that is more so towards washington d.c. and have the snowfalls track for you and starting to wind down out of the area. west union with a couple of light snow flakes for you and that' s the last bit of it starting to move out of the area and dry air is starting to build in back from the west. build into the system yesterday. and i believe that' s why we really had to cut down on the snow totals. we were working with that and dry air and all the moisture you see impacting the east coast an

montgomery county reporter kevin lewis explains what brought police to the area in the first place. > animal control responded to a dog bite call at the rockville house. officers say they encountered a hostile homeowner and suspected a large number of dogs inside of the untended home. they returned the next day with a search warrant. inside they found 66 dogs, male and female, young and old, big and small. no word on exact breeds yet. season 66 dogs is a five alarm fire in animal rescue world. staff had to work for 16 hours straight. transported, cataloging or providing medical care to the dogs. officers are busy building a criminal case. they consider the dogs to be living, breathing evidence which is why we have not been able to get video or photos of them. >> will the homeowner face criminal charges? >> possibly. that has not been decided yet. >> do you hope she does? >> what i hope is we do with the law provides with us. we'll charge as the law provides. >> was it a dog fighting ring, puppy mill or someone with good intentions gone wrong? we will dig deeper at 5:30. reporting at t

montgomery county reporter kevin lewis has a frustration built in this morning. with a guarantee like that yesterday, every resident who didn't get plowed has every reason to be frustrated. kevin: i agree with you there. while we have no idea how many streets in montgomery county haven't seen a snowplow by 7:00 a.m. i spoke to 17 people that live on 11 different streets today that all say they didn't see a snowplow and they feel ike leggett broke the conference. that includes streets that for 88 hours after snow fell no plow came down. that came around 3:00 today. a plowed truck right behind my photographer. you pan over and you can see it. it has now cleared the street. residents are still irritated. i will show you what the conditions on the road looked like earlier today when we first arrived here. there is a deep slant down a hill which only added to the inability for residents to get out of here for four days after snow fell. we also visited a lockville cul-de-sac where a man who has parkinson's had to use his own red chevy pickup truck to clear out his neig

that is where montgomery county reporter kevin lewis is live with the latest. what do we know, kevin? kevin: hi jonathan. the real important question here is who had the right of way? the males bus driver or the female pedestrian? it was making a lane on old georgetown road heading in the direction of downtown bethesda when it hit the woman who police say was either walking in or very close to the crosswalk. you can see the spray paint markings. the two front markings show where the bus' front tire came to a rest. they found the woman not breathing. her bag was nearby. at last check she is still alive but her condition is critical. the collision reconstruction unit spent three hours processing the scene this morning and it could be days, weeks perhaps even months before they know who was at fault. >> they want to interview as many people as possible. they want to look at the traffic signals and if they were functioning correctly. >> i cross this intersection many times where people turn right on the red light, which is their right if no one was in the crosswalk
