the accident happened yesterday on the lexington reservoir right off highway 17. marianne favro joins us with more on the victims. >> reporter: sadly nicholas and raymond nell lost their lives here yesterday at lexington reservoir when the canoe they were in capsized. the winds were gusting more than 35 miles per hour and investigators now say that may have played a role in the deadly accident. neighbors described the nell family as very close so it was no surprise that the three brothers and 16-year-old sister would go out on the water together. >> there were four people on the canoe that went out canoeing on lexington reservoir. we are not sure if weather played a role in capsizing the boat. >> reporter: the accident happened 200 yards from shore. 16-year-old maggie nell and her 25-year-old brother managed to swim to shore. 35-year-old nicholas nell and 30-year-old raymond nell drowned. today friends and relatives gathered to comfort the nell family. the canoe was just over 17 feet law. they were required to have life vests on board. >> all must have life preser

south bay search tonight, sheriff's divers found the bodies of two people that were missing at the lexington reservoir. a canoe capsized and tossed four people into the water. one man was taken to the hospital where he died. the body of another person was recovered this evening. two other boaters made it safely to shore around 1:00 this afternoon. sheriff tells us the victims were not wearing life jackets but it appears all four people were from the same family. >> a diver has died while fishing for abalone off the coast. he collapsed at salt point state park near santa rosa. last weekend, three divers died. one at salt point park, another at shell beach and third off ft. bragg. two of the victims were from the peninsula and one was from san francisco. yesterday's victim is described as middle-aged about a man from the east bay. >> developing news, fire officials in southern california are confident the massive spring fire will be fully contained by tomorrow. the 28,000 square acre fire is 60% contained. cooler temperatures helped firefighters get a handle on the flames and allowed residents

now, to developing news in the south bay, a search is underway for a man who went overheard in a lexingtoneservoir. matt just talked with the sheriff's deputies he has the latest for us. >> reporter: i just got confirmation the search is now over they just pulled out the body of a man missing far four hours after their canoe capsized. we just watched the ambulance taking that body to the hop. after we got word another man was pulled out at 2:00 this afternoon. he also died at the hospital. the canoe capsized 50-yards off shore just after 1:00 this afternoon. four family members were in the canoe. a 16-year-old girl and 25-year- old man able to swim to shore. a 35-year-old man pulled out an hour later we just received the confirmation he did die. a 30-year-old man was just found in the last half hour by divers, underwater, he was taken to shore, put in an ambulance and taken to the hospital. no one was wearing a life vest, deputies say and they are still trying to determine why the canoe capsized. it's quite breezy out here. investigators are trying to determine if the weather had any cause
