meteorologist lisa argen is tracking those cold temperatures, lisa. >> clear in the north bay and we've broken a few records from napa to san rafael. the moisture is here mainly offshore but we are looking at a couple areas of a little rain and snow mix. you see the heavier cells gist west of san bruno but as we go in a little closer, you see highway 35 here, the higher elevations also around la honda, a little bit of snowflake activity. here's atascadero. you notice the rain to the north and the pink indicates a mix of a little rain and snow. so here's the flow. it continues the moisture to sink to the south around monterey and salinas. that will be the rule today. we'll see the sunshine, we'll dry out but not before temperatures continue to drop to temperatures below freezing with several reports broken from oakland to san francisco. another frosty morning tomorrow. i'll talk about that and the prospects for more rain coming our way next week. jenelle. >> thank you, lisa. the bay area's highest peaks saw some snow flurries but is it sticking? john alston is live with more. >> within t

let's check with lisa argen in for mike this morning with a look at our forecast. >> best you can gete see today more sunshine. it's so warm this morning and that's the benefit from those winds yesterday. still up though throughout the bay area. sfo this morning no problems locally but that means nothing when you have a big storm across much of the middle of the country, the east coast and some very windy conditions in southern california. so kind of a lonely place there today i imagine. temperatures around the bay this morning, yeah, not too cool. 40s and 50s. a lot of wind yesterday north and east bay valleys. as a result, the fog has disapeered. even central san joaquin valley clear and looking at gusty winds. the delta, fairfield, 33 mph. aed by of a breeze in oakland and in san jose out of the northwest at 14. so from time to time those winds kicking up this morning. and we are looking at temperatures much warmer. parts of the north and east bay but we're cooler in the southern half of the bay. so temperatures here today will be about the same as yesterday but north and east bay

let's check in with meteorologist lisa argen. >> hi, there. we have broken half a dozen records. on the coast. we do have some moisture out there. it is along the san mateo coast and we are looking at numbers colder to 19-20 degrees colder. here is a look at 280 around wood side. we have the wet weather, north of pescadero and south of pescadero. you notice around boulder creek, a mix of precipitation. maybe definitely some icy roads and low area snow shower activity south of monterey, as well. looping it for you, you'll notice that the wet weather, the moisture is moving south and will continue to do that throughout the morning hours. we have a winter weather advisory until 10:00 for the santa cruz mountains. most of the instability, the activity the chance of snow is to the south of the bay area. tonight, freezing cold again, east bay valleys and north bay valleys and look for numbers today just to be in the 40s for the most part. 49 in richmond. 50 in oakland. it will be a cool, raw afternoon but we'll see sunshine calling it partly cloudy 49 in morgan hill and 49 in watsonvil
