let's get a check now of the bay area forecast with meteorologist lisa argen. e tracking that rain, which makes it easier to stay inside and do those jane fonda workouts, work at home. >> get the old vhs out. >> right. >> just kidding. yeah, we're looking at a system today and tomorrow, though a colder part of the system will arrive tomorrow. and that means heavier downpours. the chance of a thunderstorm. the snow certainly lower. south of santa cruz for sunday, this system, most of the energy arriving tomorrow. beautiful view here, walnut creek. the official sunrise, right about now. you can see that they have mostly cloudy skies, but certainly dry conditions. our level one system for your saturday and sunday, anywhere from three-quarters of an inch of rain to an inch and a half. this time, the north bay should pick up significant amounts as well as the santa cruz mountains. hills could see upwards of two inches. that's where we have that wind advisory for tomorrow. emeryville, lots of clouds out there as the ceilings lower. looking at fog and southwest wind, b

. >>> let's get a check of the holiday weather today with lisa argen. sa, it was a little gray yesterday, not that sunshine that maybe i was hoping, but it was pretty nice today. >> certainly did not clear in the north ba started to see that fog erode a little bit from the east bay and the south bay late in the day. that strat hgh throughout the morning and afternoon hours and kept it cool with the consistent flow from the ocean that onshore push and this morning we have low clouds and fog out there. here is a look at live doppler 7, the extent across the bay into the delta, at about 2,500 feet. it is 55 in san bruno, 52 half moon bay with 47 in redwood city. hayward 53, patchy drizzle from the coast, up through sonoma and napa and also in the city. just a little bit, not a lot, and as we look at the golden gate bridge, certainly quiet out there, not a lot going on, but starting out with the fog and low clouds, clearing to the coast. we'll look for the sun again this afternoon, early afternoon and warmer days monday, tuesday, wednesday. there is a system

here's lisa argen. >> good morning to you. we're looking at some of the cloud cover being scoured out in the north bay this morning but elsewhere, it's still pretty cloudy in the east bay, peninsula, and south bay. santa cruz, temperatures today will be under 60 degrees for afternoon highs. right now it is 54 in san jose, 51 in the city, and as we look out toward the gray sky there and the bay bridge, we have mid-50s by the delta, but we will have a breeze there and a breeze at the coast today. so if you're headed outside, the sun will be with us in the next few hours from the north bay to the east bay, and then by the afternoon, fewer clouds, warmer temperatures, but not by much. we'll save that warming trend for easter sunday and the week ahead. your forecast for the seven day outlook is in a few minutes. >>> developing news overnight. a magnitude 5.3 earthquake hit about an hour outside of yosemite national park. the usgs says this one struck shortly after 7:30 this morning. you can see the epicenter by that light blue dot
