lee says connection -- lisa's connection with these surt luck or destiny. she moved to san jose and was working as a litigation attorney for an intellectual property law firm and finishing the prerequisites for medical school. at least twice a day she would drive down meridian ave and go past a strange looking building that defined itself as indian health center. she would think to yourself, i should see if that place needs volunteers. one day she called, and of -- beloved physician we had identified a project for lisa and actor -- ask her to consider joining the board of directors. with leases unique legal and medical backgrounds, benefits from having both in a single board member we save some times. thank you. and her commitment and leadership have helped guide through more than a decade of growth and the challenges that come with it. her quick, usually irreverent and sometimes wacky, actually always wacky sense of humor enlivens the board meetings, and may leave her in the future to the stage at one of my agencies comedy jam event. lisa looks forward to

lee. the rain may be moving out. >> it has but the weather is still causing big problems here in san francisco. lisa washington is near lumbart and montgomery where boulders are actually sliding down the rain-soaked hillside. she joins us with more. lisa? >> reporter: that's right, frank. unfortunately we're not able to show you a car that was actually crushed by a boulder. but let me move so you are able to see. this is a back street behind a mixed use building. you can see two cars parked on the side. just beyond that, you're able to see some of the large boulders that fell this morning. according to two people who live in this building, it was about 8:30 when they heard rocks falling from the hillside. a san francisco fire batallion chief says a number of large boulders fell from the hillside. he has confirmed that the car parked on the back street was crushed by one of those large boulders. this as i said is a mixed use building. that is, they're commercial businesses, and condos and a parking garage all in one. one of the residents said she thought the loud noise she heard outside her bedroom t

lee. >> hi, everybody. i'm frank mallicoat. >>> a teenaged tourist is sexually assaulted near fisherman's wharf. police catch the suspect in the act. it happened early this morning. lisa washington is in san francisco with the latest on the violent crime at the popular tourist attraction. lisa. >> reporter: that's right, grace. we are standing in front. longshoreman's hall here. police received a call for a missing girl around 2:30 a.m. of the reports say that that missing teen was a 15-year-old tourist, a girl who got separated from her group and they say was sexually assaulted behind these bushes early this morning. police have confirmed that two people were taken to the hospital. take a look at this video. you can see the evidence markers on the ground behind the bushes. there is a purse, a scarf or some type of cloth and several other items. police have the area secured for more than three hours. earlier we saw emergency workers putting one person on a stretcher and into an ambulance. apparently, police found the missing girl during the attack. the longshoreman's hall is near the fisherman's wharf hotel area, that often has many tourists. we talked to one who says

lee is off. it's 5:30. crank up the heaters because it's mighty chilly out there. freezing temperatures all across the bay area prompting a lot of people to take precautions overnight. lisahington is in balmy pleasanton. >> reporter: couldn't be better. actually it could. things are pretty nice here in pleasanton. don't know if i would use that word though to describe the temperatures here. you can see we're at the mission plaza and the temperature, yeah, a nice 33 degrees. most of the bay area had to deal with temperatures in the 30s and even the 20s last night. dom of the people who live here in pleasanton didn't take the national weather service's freeze warning lightly. they picked up pipe insulation to prevent those freezing pipes. even insulated dog houses. plants had to be protected because of freezing temperatures. the freeze warning goes until 8:00 this morning so the morning commute will need to be aware of that as there could be black ice on the bridges and overpasses. a good checklist as we have been saying before you head out of course your heaviest coat, gloves, scarf, hat and, of course, as many layers as possible. right elizabeth. >> that's right. layer i

lee. it is 6:29. >>> a teenaged tourist separated from her group is assaulted in san francisco overnight. police are telling us that this happened just a few hours ago near fisherman's wharf. lisa washington is there with the very latest on this investigation. lisa? >> reporter: that's right, frank and grace. in fact, let me move out of the way. they are collecting evidence in the case. here's what we know. san francisco police received a call around 2:30 a.m. for a missing teen. we received reports that missing teen was a 15-year-old girl, a tourist who got separated from her group and was attacked by a man. we understand that both the teenager and the suspect were both injured and are being treated at a local hospital. again, you can see the crime scene investigators are work now. this is the long -- crime scene investigators are working now. this is the longshoreman hall where the longshoreman come for their assignments each day. did i speak with one of the police officers on the -- i did speak with one of the police officers on the scene who said it didn't have anything to do with the longshoreman, just happened in the area. the reports are that a 15-year- old girl, a touri

lee. it is 5:30. developing news, this out of san jose, and a fire causes some major damage to a senior housing center. >> he. >> we know four people have been injured and lisaington joins us from the scene with an update. good morning. >> reporter: good morning, frank and grace. and many of the firefighters are still here on the scene. in fact let me move out of the way. you can see one of the firemen on the roof of one of the other units and they are putting out the hot spots on the building that was damaged by that fire early this morning. also i was just able to get an update from one of the fire captains, he tells me that a fifth person has been taken to the hospital with complaints of burns to the feet. now we know that at least four units were damaged by fire and at least four more had smoke and water damage. this fire started around 1:45 this morning. and as you said, this is a senior assistant living facility. when the firefighters arrived, they can see the flames shooting from the roof, and we know that 14 people lived in these apartments, again five taken to the hospital and the red cross will assist all of them with finding a place to live. the f
