liz kreutz just got to the scene a short while ago. she joins us live from the canyon. t are you seeing there? >> reporter: we're at american canyon high school right now. this is one of the areas that is under the evacuation advisory. behind me you can see some billowing smoke here. this fire right now, we're told, is about 200 acres so it is growing in size, but we are told they are confident that they will be able to have this fire contained maybe within the next 30 minutes. so they are making good progress. the fire started around 3:00. it quickly grew in size due to winds blowing the flames towards american canyon and the newell drive area. if you're familiar with that area, that is the area under this evacuation advisory. at this point it's been burning mostly through steep terrain, hills, grassy areas. that's been part of the challenge for firefighters. they said the most challenging part has just been access. in fact, if you come on over this way, rachel is moving the camera, you can see this charred hill behind us here. in front of that
