los angeles county sheriff robert luna gave an update on the investigation a short time ago.1st, 2023, at approximately 20.2 2pm, officers at approximately 20.22pm, officers from the monterey park police department responded to a business in the 100 block of west garvey avenue in the city of monterey park regarding a shots fired call. when officers arrived at the location, they observed numerous victims and patrons in the business parking lot. additional officers made entry into the business and located numerous gunshot victims. monterey park fire department responded to the scene and started to treat the injured. and i do want to point out, these police officers that get there, they don't hesitate, they go in right away and then our partners at the fire department, and not only the monterey fire department, but many others who came to assist the victims, survivors, who needed assistance. there were at least ten additional victims transported to numerous local hospitals. but i do want to start off with saying that unfortunately when the fire department did get into the busine

let's turn to an expert as we follow the latest developments in a saturday night shooting in los angeles countyd, joining me now is rob demarco former fbi supervisor and founder of sierra one consulting. rob, the los angeles department released an image of the alleged suspect. officials mentioned they were looking for a white van. earlier we saw images of a swat team surrounding a similar vehicle. why wasn't the suspected shooter's name released? what is the process in these types of -- men >> the name earliest, at the time when there is an investigation, they thought if they released a name, it could possibly harm the investigation. i'm not a sure about the exact details. the release of the picture was for public safety. they said, okay, they are awaiting the information that is released. what do we need to get out to help the public help us to put them into a safer place. what do we want to hold back? if they have released a name, it could be a whole bunch of press going over to his house. they might not know his house was secure. they might not have known if he had gone to a cousins house or
