i'm proud to say that my hometown of louisville has many of these leaders and this week one of them, 13-year-old, was recognized nationally with the glory of prize for young heroes. it's a well-deserved recognition and i rise today to applaud her work for beating to beat autism. three years ago after learning that an underfunded treatment program could help thousands of kids in lieuville with autism like her brother, she stepped up. she planned to enlist her friends and family to raise $200,000 by making beaded bracelets and selling them for $3 each. people told her it was impossible but she said, it's just like a ball game. if you don't believe you can win, then it's game over before you start. you got to believe. and after six months she had reached her goal. to date she's raised $350,000 to help children with autism. now through beading to beat autism, she helps to raise $300 million to finance an autism research center in louisville and i don't doubt that she can accomplish that. mr. speaker, i urge the members of the house to join me to salute her. i'm proud to wear her bracelet

he once told joe louisville that it was important to keep the firm right hand on the tiller because the news room would naturally drift to the left. he believed that there should be no editorial needles in which reporters use their personal political opinions to go after anybody. he believed that there should be no pejorative quotes that were either not attributed or made somebody look bad that workfare. rosenthal was very patriotic and was extremely weary of the counterculture. and he was also very weary of conflicts of interest among his reporters. when he found out that the woman he had hired had once had an affair with a politician in philadelphia, believes when he had been mayor, he famously five-year her and said, you know, difference to the fact this is a catholic institution. i don't care if my reporters believe the elephants, but if they do, they can't cover the circus. from take another call louisville, kentuckylouisvillepat. caller: thank you for taking my call.t year, 2010, president obama presented the budget that the republicans are working with right now. that is the continuation that ends on march 4. democrats have gotten really busy on this budget in january of 2011, 11 months after it was presented. since it is time for the 2012 budget to be presented by the president, a lot of people do not think that october, 2011, is where the congress, which the house of representatives was predominately democrat. all of a sudden they have this horrible feeling buchwald is going to fall apart -- that the world in the united states is going to fall apart now the republicans 11 months later are dealing with it. now it's over one year. i find this -- and the media does not make much of this. democrats could have spudone something about it they wanted to guest: the democrats were not able to pass a budget last year. or the year before that. it has not actually happens in a long time. at the we are looking at exactly that case playing out of this year.
