lower 70s. a new jersey man has been identified as the man columbia barber shop before being attacked by his would-be victims. the richland county coroner says 35-year-old adeyemi hannibal died after he was shot at the "next up barber and beauty" last friday. surveillance video from the store captured the whole thing when police say twoof the victims got out their own guns and shot at the robbers. the coroner says hannibal later died at the hospital. police say one other man, who has not been identified, is still on the run. they're asking anyone with information to call 1-888-crime-sc. we're learning more about the texas fugitive who died in a shootout with law enforcement at the byron road apartments in columbia. sam bleiweis joins us with a look at damon james' background. 42 year old damon jones was wanted out of houston, texas for murder. this afternoon we're learning more about his arrest record, which dates back to 1990. the first alleged violent crimes date back to 1995. in september 2014, he was accused of assaulting a family member, and in october of 2014, he was accused of murdering his officials still aren't s

lower 20s. welcome to the news at five, i'm dawndy mercer plank. i'm judi gatson, thanks for joining us. a rough road today for a proposal to revamp oversight of the richland county penny transportation tax. members of a county council committee showed little changes to the tax program. news ten's jack kuenzie is in with what happened. dawndy and judi---you might say the motions made by councilman seth rose hit a roadblock this afternoon. rose put up a four point plan aimed at addressing issues raised in part by results of an investigation into the penny tax program by the state in early december, dor released a letter alleging "multiple instances of illegal activity" and raising questions of potential public corruption and fraud. in response, rose proposed changes that included repealing an ordinance dealing with "significant purchases" ---funding for small local businesses and a major upgrade of oversight authority for the transportation penny advisory committee or tpac. today--the council's ad hoc committee moved to table the signficant purchase parts of the plan got sent for more study by budget writers and tpac itself. rose is clearly frustrated. i ha
