( james ) another home in pacifica is about to fall victim to coastal erosion that has already claimed three apartment buildings and numerous houses. the vacant home is the last house standing along this stretch of the city's waterfront. the cliffs underneath the home are badly eroded. unless something is done soon, it's only a matter of time until the building falls off the edge. pacifica residents told us the erosion is unfortunate but also inevitable. <"it's depressing. it really is. it's not good. but there's really not much you can do about it.">( james ) the owners say they recently sold the house to the city of pacifica with plans for demolition. the city also plans to add the property to the esplanade beach overlook trail once it's gone.
