(lydia) john cowell is scheduled to be in an oakland courtroom this morning at 9-a-m. as for charges... he's expected to face one count of murder and assault with a deadly weapon. but he may also face an attempted murder charge for the other attack on nia wilson's sister, lahtifa. john lee cowell was caught while sitting on a bart train on monday. another passenger recognized him and called police. police say cowell attacked wilson and her sister sunday night. police believe they have the murder weapon... which was found at a nearby construction site. they're now running d-n-a tests. authorities revealed the details of cowell's arrest yesterday. as kron 4's lydia pantazes reports... the shooting happened as the boy and his mother were at a memorial for another shooting victim. a three-year-old boy was injured in a shooting in oakland on wednesday night, police said.around 9:38 p.m. officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1600 block of 80th ave.police found the three-year-old from san leandro with head injuries they say were caused by bullet fragments.we recognize, particularly in this incident, where a young child has been injured that this is a very serious matter. we know that community members were there and witnessed this incident and there's information that can be provided to us that can help us further our investigation. and we are asking for community members to come forward.the child was riding in a car with his mother when shots were fired at the car. fragments from one of the bullets struck the boy in the head, investigators said.he is at oakland children's hospital in stable condition, police said.the gunman is still on the loose. police ar

( lydia ) marty... there are now reports that 6 members of that boy's soccer team are out of that cave. the operation to remove those kids and their coach began around 8 last night. ambulances have been seen leaving the cave and heading to the hospital. this is the latest video into our newsroom this morning. right now it is unclear who was inside those ambulances. 3 foreign and five thai divers were taking part in the rescue and two divers will accompany each boy as they're gradually extracted. the boys and their coach became stranded when they went exploring in the cave after a practice game june 23. monsoon flooding cut off their escape and prevented rescuers from finding them for almost 10 days. when they were found they were malnourished and weak. over the last few days there have been growing concerns that more storms in the forecast could leave the boys trapped until october. oxygen levels in the cave were also begining to drop making the rescue more urgent. it takes 11 hours for rescuers to get
