here's meteorologist lynette charles. >> we have another active weather day. especially across the middle of the nation and this will begin to march towards us going through time. but already, we are seeing in indianapolis some showers and thunderstorms severe in nature. let's show you the video because we have been seeing some downed wires and snapped trees across the area. lots of rain falling this morning. we can see this right now at the gas league station and we can see the fact that trees have been reports of trees have been falling into houses and telephone poles or blocking fire trucks as well. look at that snapped tree right there. this is the potential that we can be seeing as we go into the afternoon time frame. i want to show you the fact that, well, not only is it around indianapolis today, we are dealing with some storm damage and today neigho -- tornado damage in tennessee. this is the line that you can see the boeing line. that means that you're getting some convective wind. so windy conditions across the area but also some tornado warnings now

meteorologist lynette charles has the latest on this and we have just gotten the cold temperatures. >we have the snow on the ground the morning and a winter weather advisory is in effect until 9:00 this morning. for the areas here shaded in the blue color. take it easy on the roadways this morning. it's going to be very slick out there with the coating to about an inch of snow on the ground this morning. you know with the cold temperatures anything that fell just stuck. now on maryland's most powerful radar, what we're looking at, well we are looking at some light snow showers still a little bit of flurrying action happening this morning. and we'll go back to maryland's most powerful radar in just a moment. but let's talk about what's going on in terms of temperatures right now. as we look at abc2 most accurate forecast. we can see that temperatures coming in very cold. frigid once again. 14 degrees in perry hall. millersville is at 18 degrees and 14 in mount airy. we will have the winds out of the north again making these temperatures feel more like we are in the single digits. and y

so let's get right to weather now with meteorologist lynette charles and the latest on what's going on outside. >>> all right, charlie we're still talking about a winter weather advisory that's in effect until 9:00 this morning. and it's for all the areas here shaded in the blue color. now as we look at what's going on, on maryland's most powerful radar, well, we can see why we're dealing with some school delays this morning. we still do have some snow coming down across many areas this morning. so take it easy as you step out and about. we can go ahead and zoom in. you can see some snow around afternoon den along i-83 if your travels are going to take you on this roadway be careful out there. it's very slick. we can see it around arbutus this morning. wood lawn. also lynn acres getting in on the light snow this morning as well. we slide a little further to the south and we can see it around crownsville this morning. and also the ridges and bladen. also walden. so again, slick roadways if we can see the icing out there and we have a little bit of patchy fog out there as well. we have i

. >> all right, got to get right to meteorologist lynette charles with the latest on the storms thatolled through last night and what's expected this morning. >> all right, so we are starting to move this wet weather out of here. maryland's most powerful radar just picking up on some light showers across the area, across eastern shore this morning. but all in all, drying out nicely. but in the wake we are very blustery this morning. and that will continue right through the afternoon. so with that we do have a wind advisory that's in effect until 6:00. that's for our entire viewing area for today. and then things will start to improve but it's going to get cold. and then we're going to talk about snow. so once again, we started this week crazy and we're going to end this week on a crazy note as well. so we look at pilesville temperature right now coming in at 41 degrees. these temperatures will fall or hold steady as we go throughout the day. we look at stevesville the temperature coming in at 46 degrees right now and those winds out of the northwest at about 19 miles an hour. and we
