>>the president's stop in macon georgia last friday raised some eyebrows because he won georgia by 5 full points 4 years ago and generally it has not been seen as a swing state. until now apparently because with barely 2 weeks to go in the campaign our poll finds the 2 candidates locked in a dead heat in georgia. with the president ahead of joe biden 48 to 47%. a margin of error of 4.3 percentage points means the race among likely voters is essentially a tie. the president's large lead among white voters, 64 to 30% is somewhat off said by mister biden's support among voters 18 to 29 years old who prefer him 55 to 38%. as we've seen in other states. the president enjoys an enthusiasm edge among his supporters. 81% of trump supporters are either extremely or very excited. while 74% of mister biden supporters say the same thing and 48% approved of the job the president is doing while 47% disapproved. the president was campaigning in arizona another state he won 4 years ago. but before even getting there he made headlines by attacking the government's top infectious disease expert. docto

this will be a concern for montgomery, birmingham, even around atlanta and macon, georgia, not just through the afternoon, but also into the early evening hours. here is a look at where that storm is expected to go off to the north and east, and even noticing on sunday a lot of the same cities are still going to be dealing with some pretty heavy rainfall bands, including atlanta, charlotte, even knoxville, tennessee. through the day tomorrow. because of that, you are likely to have localized flooding. widespread amounts, about 2 to 4 inches, but some isolated spots of 6, 8, even 10 inches of rain is not out of the question. for some of the areas we're talking, say portions of mississippi, arkansas, remember it's on top of what they've already picked up. so that's going to be another concern. and it's why you have this slight risk here for flooding potential. and notice, it's a pretty widespread area, even though the storm itself, we're seeing those winds begin to decrease, that flooding threat, fred, is still going to be there. >> and that is a huge swath of an area to be getting this very

he's going to hold an event tonight at 7:00 in an airport hangar in macon, georgia. and this is a state, steph, that he really has to win. if he doesn't win georgia, it's just going to show potentially a lot of trends across the country in key battleground states that are not good for the president. and georgia is not the only state he'll be campaigning in today. he's also in battleground florida. he spent the night there after his town hall last night. he's going to do an official white house event with seniors in ft. myers and then hold a rally in ocala, florida, before heading to georgia for his event there. and this is really what the end of the week for the president, his first week back on the trail since contracting the coronavirus. and you should expect to see a lot of this. we'll see the president on the trail at least one event a day from now until election day, according to his aides. but, to your point, the fact that he's having to make these stops in georgia just really shows how much the president is trying to fight on all different types of turf, steph.
