this is the 16-inch water main that broke. you can see the nine foot crack along that pipe and they've been pumping water out of it all night. the water has been shut off in the area and just waiting for the next section to arrive to replace the old one. in the meantime people who live along the 2800 block of kirk avenue won't have water until they fix this. we've been able to talk to homeowners who have been very frustrated right around the corner is abbotston street. that's the 1500 block of abbotston right over there. three years ago this same thing happened a water main broke and it flooded their basements and they're frustrated again this is happening again but again, this they're hoping to have it all completed and fixed by the end of the day. until they do, people along the street will not have water and the roads in this area will be shut down until they're able to completely fix this problem. we're live in northeast baltimore, linda so, abc2 news. >>> when you fly you expect safety to be the number one concern. whethe

main street and maryland avenue in historic downtown ellicott city. back to the two victims you mentioned. we have learned one of them's name is elizabeth nap, she was a jr., entering her junior year. they were on the bridge at the time of the derailment, tweeting photographs up until the time of the accident. for a second victim, don't have information about her right now. that information is forthcoming. linda so is on the scene right now. i'm two blocks away from where the chaos is going on down with emergency crews. she is gathering new information for us we will have for you at abc2 news and abc2news.com throughout the course of the morning and video from the scene. it's a very chaotic scene, happened around midnight. self-of the bars that were open, preparing to close down, 3 dozen people were in the emporium. crews from howard county, baltimore county, mtsb is on the scene working the investigation to find out what happened. and csx brought in the crews to check the stable of the rail and the bridges and the cars to get the coal off the scene.
