mallory hoff joins us with the latest from maywood. mallory, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, michelle. investigators are telling us the woman suffers from a seizure disorder and family members say she does not have her medication with investigators set up a command that is a picture of 22-year- old dolores steuben. she was last seen thursday night when she was pulled over by maywood police for a traffic stop. that is not far from her home in passaic. the command post is set up in the area where she was stopped. at that time she was driving a gray mitsubishi, wearing a pink wool coat a long black skirt and rainbow colored sneakers. now, family is telling investigators the last time they heard from her she said she was lost. they set up a command post last night and worked very late. they have since gone home to get a few hours of sleep. they are expected back to continue their search this morning. investigators are looking for any information anyone may have about the missing woman. mallory hoff, channel 7 eyewitness news. >> th

mallory hoff is live in east harlem where the investigation is underway. mallory. >> reporter: lori, good morning. we are learning the fatal stabbing took place on the third floor of this homeless shelter behind us. an argument between two men, two residents escalated rather quickly. take a look at this video. you can see investigators on scene working to determine what this argument was over and get to the bottom of this situation. this is a homeless shelter for men. we are told there are 101 beds here. it's called boulevard shelter in east harlem. we are being told that investigators got the call. police arrived on scene and found a man with a stab wound that man was pronounced dead at the scene. the man was 62 years old. back out live, investigators tell us this morning the man who they believe is responsible for this stabbing, the suspect in this case, they say he is a resident here. they know who they are looking for and he is on the run this morning. an active and ongoing search for that suspect in this area. live in east harlem, mallory hoff, channel

mallory hoff is live in tremont with the story. mallory? >> reporter: good morning. preliminary reports coming in right now. investigators are saying it appears that some type of off duty law enforcement officers fired a single shot at a man who was attempting to rob him. take a look at this video. you can see investigators at work here at the scene. this right now, 179th street and creston avenue in the tremont section of the bronx. now, what we are learning is that it appears, according to investigators, that around 4:00 this morning, three men approached this off duty law enforcement officer at which that officer did in fact fire a single shot. that man shot has been taken to st. barnabas hospital. the extend of his injuries are unclear. what we are learning at this hour is that two men, the two men with that man who was shot, well, they ran in different directions this morning. what we know right now, one wearing a black jacket, another wearing a red jacket. both of these men considered armed and dangerous. one carrying a gun and another carrying a knife. investi

mallory hoff is live in newark. mallory? >> reporter: ken, good morning. students will need to watch out for those slippery spots. we did take a good drive around newark and tell you things have dramatically improved. most streets are cleared since yesterday. sidewalks like this one have been cleared. the problem, though, the streets like this where if you can see to the side here, half this street blocked with snow. you can imagine that could create problems as students go back to school today. i want you to take a look at the video. this shows crews hard at work picking up the snow, moving it somewhere else. because of the conditions on the roadway, new jersey d.o.t. had to help out. 200 crews out on the roads trying to improve them. the mayor said the work would get done. >> we are going to do this done. i know tensions are high. we will not leave anybody stranded or left behind. we will work until it's done. >> reporter: perhaps this mural days ahead. it does feel better today but one thing we need to bring to your attention, a lot of these side street

mallory hoff is live there in the clifton section. good morning. >> reporter: michelle, good morning. you can only imagine this must have been a scary moment for this officer. we are told he is doing okay this morning. i want to show you what we are looking at. you can see where this cruiser plowed into the building this morning. we are learning according to nypd that this officer, a sergeant with the force, was driving this morning when some type of medical condition lead him to pass out at the wheel. by the time he woke up, well, as you can see, it was clearly too late. he had plowed into this flower shop. the airbag deployed. he is part of nypd's newly created strategic response team. again this morning he is being treated. you have to take a look here. there are actually two flower shop. we are told the people who live there, well, they heard the morning. they immediately came downstairs very nervous. they learned the officer would be okay. they opted to leave the area for the night. building itself. in the meantime, the officer w

mallory hoff is live on the scene in clifton with new information. >> reporter: good morning. you have to imagine this must situation -- nerve-racking situation. what we are seeing is a large gaping hole on the outside of this building left behind as a result of this crash. now, this is a flower shop you are looking at here. the crash happened around midnight. nypd says the officer who is actually a sergeant had a medical condition that lead him to pass out behind the wheel. by the time he woke up, as you can see, it was clearly too late. he had already crashed into the side of this building. witnesses say at the time of the accident the lights were actually flashing on this police cruiser. just since i spoke to you at 5:30, we caught up with the owners of the flower shop. they were here to survey the damage. >> this is your shop, these your livelihood. what do you do now. >> the only thing is what she got. she makes money for a living, you know what i mean? >> back out live as you can see, there are apartments on top of this flower shop. we are told at least two apartments, a

in the last month eyewitness news reporter mallory hoff is live in kips bay. mallory. >>reporter: shirleen, good morning. he is here at bellevue hospital this morning undergoing psychiatric evaluation. family members tell police he illness, but law enforcement officers say they have no record of that. take a look at this video from yesterday. in it you can see 41-year-old kerry baysmore led away from the 13th precinct. he was wearing a white jumpsuit provided by police. investigators took his clothing which they say held evidence of the chelsea slashing. police say surveillance video shows baysmore slashing a woman's face before running away. a man who saw the video on tv later recognized the man in that red jacket which then led to an arrest. 24-year-old amanda morris was morning when her face was slashed. baysmore now faces charges in that chelsea attack, but he has now been i.d.ed in a new year's day attack in the bronx. if you recall in that situation, a woman was slashed with a razor blade and needed 150 stitches. police say he may be linked to other attacks as we
