incredibly warm down there. 73 in manassas but very localized temperatures here.u get to the higher elevations cooler north and west only in the 60's so everyone having their own little micro climate at this hour but things will even out. and this is in large part thanks to the dewpoints which basically a rule of thumb without getting into type of of a scientific explanation if you see a 70 plus dewpoint that is oppressive and that's what we've got across much of the d.c. area. little relief nor but it is a muggy morning. we're expecting some of that humidity to mix out later on today. satellite and radar not much to speak of. a lot of sunshine overhead and a lot of sunshine expected today. back towards our west heavy showers and thunderstorms moving through the chicago area up into michigan, great lakes seeing very heavy rain and some relief from the heat there but all this rain going to stay far off towards our west. high pressure is in place. you can almost see the clouds and showers circling overhead off towards our west and then moving off towards our north.
