larry: police opening fire and shooting a teenager in manassas. john gonzalez arriving on the scene. he has the latest for us. john: we just arrived. we literally just parked inside of the memorial park. let me show you the dash cam. you can see all the police activity in the middle of the park. it all started with reports of shots fired eight miles from here i 12:30 this morning. when police arrived, they located a vehicle possibly involved in that report of shots fired. they attempted to stop the car. the driver did not stop. there was a police chase. it is unclear how fast, how long that chase went on for but it ended at the park in prince william county. the driver identified as an 18-year-old man has been shot by police. the circumstances behind the shooting unknown. we do know police officers involved in this incident were not injured. 18-year-old,he suffered serious injuries. there was another juvenile in the car at the time. he was not harmed. about told, i'm literally to step out of the car and get more information. when we get an update,

these are flames tearing through a house in manassas. not one, but two families without a place to stay. the home was not the only valuable asset lost. john: you still have plenty of caution tape on nash drive in manassas, va. this large home is a total loss. night. you can see the damage. a burnt out shell. the top floor is completely exposed. even the homes on each side have significant damage. two families this gate from this burning home. relatives were throwing their loved one over the fence to get away from the flames. the fire started in the garage. a family that recently immigrated from mexico was renting the basement of the house, a husband, wife, two children, eight-year-old girl and four-year-old boy, they did not have renters insurance and were obtaining legal residency and citizenship in the country. they were going to meet with an immigration attorney today. all of their paperwork, documents, even their money for immigration fees were destroyed. >> to our house and rang the doorbell so -- and said their house is on fire, i

lindsey: a developing story in manassas, police shot and 18-year-old after a chase into a park. we are in prince william county with the latest. >> manassas city police officers involved, the 18-year-old in the hospital suffering from serious injuries. this was a police case that turned into a police involved shooting. the unmarked police car with heavy front end damage and another police cruiser with damage and police still collecting evidence. that is the black suv, driven by the 18-year-old suspect which started around 12:40 this morning with reports of shots fired. police attempted to make a traffic the driver of the suv refused to stop and there was a chase which ended with two police officers discharging their weapons. the suspect left the vehicle, had a weapon, shots were exchanged. the suspect was hit and eight was rendered by both city police and he was flown to fairfax hospital. >> shots were exchanged? >> we fired shots, undetermined if he shot. he did display a weapon. >> police said there was a female juvenile inside the black suv who was not harmed. it was unclear

an 18-year-old shot by police in manassas after a chase.m county investigators say manassas city officers were responding to reports of shots fired. they came upon a vehicle which may have been involved in an initial call and tried to stop it. the officers say the car then took off. they chased the car into memorial where the 18-year-old driver was shot. opened fire. why officers- the man was flown to the hospital with serious injuries. there was a juvenile passenger in the car who was not hurt. we do have a crew on the way to the scene and we'll keep you updated on that breaking news. >> police in prince george's county are investigating a deadly crash involving a school bus in temple hills. witnesses say the car and the bus were traveling in opposite directions when they collided. the car burst in flames trapping people inside. the person died at the scene. no one on the bus was injured. police told fox5 there was a call for shots fired just before the crash. they're trying to determine if those incidents are connected. >> well, the debat
