alexander montagu-manchester claims to be the british royal title of duke of manchester the 13th. he appeared accused of a burglary charge that is one of three cases which he is being held without bail. he is 53. he did not enter a plea today because his public defender indicated a deal is in the works and that would combine all the cases. so montagu-manchester faces a burglary charge for a break-in at a home in july separate false police report case that led to his arrest. that was on august 12th. then prior to this there was a 2015 driving under the influence of drugs case. and that case he was on probation for. but because of these new crimes it brought that case up again. all three of these appear to be on track to be resolved in some type of a plea deal. if he were to be convicted of a maximum charge it would be 14 years in prison. because a deal is in the making, he does return to court on september 26th to, again, we appear. it appears he would rush to accept formally a plea deal on the 26th of september. craig fiegener reporting live at the regional justice court, news 3.
