marianne favro nbc, bay area news mary ann, thank you. those test samples were sent to a state lab and results are expected tomorrow. a big show of support in pleasant hill today for a six year old girl fighting cancer. it was all organized by one of her friends. adelaide has been battling a form of cancer called neuroblastoma since she was just 20 months old. her mom says she's on her fourth relapse and recent scans show the cancer is spreading. her friend ronnie came up with the idea to hold a lemonade stand and donate all the proceeds to adelaide's fight. dozens of people and neighbors showed up. you see them there, including crews from pleasant hill, police and contra costa county fire. she has cancer, so we thought it would be nice to do it for her. i heard that it was ronnie's idea and these girls just wanted to do this for adelaide, because they're amazing. i mean, what little kids think of somebody else like that? i think it's absolutely incredible. pretty special. their firefighters gave her a tour of their rig. you see her there

marianne favr, nbc, bay area news. well, sad. update on the search for a north bay man who disappeared while swimming in the russian river. sonoma county sheriff's deputies say the 28 year old santa rosa man was found dead on friday. he'd been missing since wednesday and was last seen in the river just southwest of guerneville. napa county dive teams also helped in the search using remote controlled underwater equipment. authorities are investigating the events surrounding the man's death, but they suspect he drowned. this is the second drowning in the russian river in the past week. a bizarre confrontation at a south bay park. sunnyvale police are on the hunt for the person accused of threatening several people with a machete. it happened friday night at fair oaks park. investigators say there was some sort of fight. two people involved injured their hands while trying to take that machete away from the suspect. he got away. anyone with information is asked to please call police. president biden is on the campaign trail again. i
