our marianne favro has been working on the story since we learned about it.rianne, can you go ahead and start telling us what exactly happened? >> reporter: yes, the covid outbreak is impacting the clerk's office. they didn't have enough staff to keep the office open. so it was closed today and will remain closed tomorrow. and they hope that the office will reopen on monday. of course, the timing was bad because there were so many people who were also off on vacation this week that they simply didn't have enough people to backfill. that's why they had to shut down today. >> sure, speaking of today's shutdown, who exactly is being ■@ >> reporter: the closure is only impacting the clerk's office. it does not impact scheduled court cases and divorces or custody battles, et cetera, already scheduled in court. i did talk to one man who showed up to get court documents from the court clerk's office, and he was very frustrated because they were closed. he said he really needed those documents to prepare for a hearing on monday. we did run to a few frustrated people.
