if it's about 25 marines in the back. -- it fits about 25 marines in the back. to get them out a danger very quickly. it gets them from place to place. they can land on ships. marines are going to go back to their nautical routes. that is an example of a program that did have some problems in the beginning. to the problems that have been corrected. the marines are planning to buy the whole program. they're getting close to doing that. i would like to make a comment on another part of that clip. it is exactly what i have been talking about. i think the place i was speaking to the marines was one of the combat outposts, a small one in valley.eut they say marines are not really happy unless they are dirty and living outdoors. these guys and women go in for seven months. they have been extraordinarily successful as a military operation. they have also been very successful in terms of engaging with the local governor, police, and army beginning to train the afghans to takeover. when you visit as i got to do comedy think it did not show is that after i made my little

you know, in the marine corps, all officers are infantry platoon commanders first, and all marines are riflemen first. you go through the infantry type training. of after that training is completed, then you go on to be a helicopter pilot or a tanker or artilleryman. so my training was really a little different thrust than bob's. knowing that i would be in the supporting arms. but thank god that the marine corps concept is all lieutenants or infantry men first because i went from being an artillery man to being an infantry man in the snap of a finger. >> yes, ma'am. >> hi. first of all, thank you for your service. we really appreciate it. also, how did those experiences on those early days of your future help you in future missions? how did it change you? >> well, since i've worn this medal now for 45 years, when i go to make tough decisions, whether it was in uniform, or in the civilian government jobs that i have had since my retirement, i have held this medal and said what would those young troops think about this decision i'm about to make? i got to make some tough decisions in the

a marine spokesman says that seven marines were killed when the chopper collided over a remote area over yuma arizona. they were operating out of the marine corps station in yuma. the aircraft involved a super cobra and a huey, both part of the third marine aircraft wing. miguel marquez is joining us. what more can you tell us? >> reporter: it sounds like an accident. they were training late at night. it may have been a live fire exercise. it sounds like there was fairly intense training. these are two that provide close air support for marines on the ground. they were training for afghanistan, as you said. and they trained very, very hard at night and it's possible that it was just an accident. the marines are saying that they collided in the air. obviously something went very wrong during that training, whether it was darkness, dust or dirt that blocked their view. it's not very clear yet. but the marines are investigating it. >> and among those items they are looking into it, those are new images that you were showing as we were talking, miguel, that is believed to be that cash site.
