marina green kiosk request for proposal. good morning, commissioners. for the department, what is before you is an rfp that the department would like to put out soliciting an operator for the marina green kiosk. the kiosk was built in 1938. it serves snacks and light refreshments to visitors to little marina green. the department entered into a lease in 2008 with a three-year lease with an extension -- expiring in april of this year. there was an extension that the current operator chose not to exercise. the department would like to put out to bid the rfp that was solicited. an operator that would offer quality beverage and food at the kiosk. the rfp would require respondents to submit proposed rent, including the greater of the monthly and a guarantee or percentage of gross revenue. it would also require -- stipulate that the proposed payments are not final and that there would be negotiations with rpd, and then they would increase with cpi, and the maximum lease term would be five years in length. in soliciting an operator, we are soliciting an opera

i have got to say, as a pupil as san francisco is from the shore, embarcadero, marina green, when you go up in a helicopter, there is not a bad picture of san francisco. pitt is a truly amazing thing to be up there and see above the bridge, above the hills, seeing these boats sailing. to have the america's cup happen here in this harbor is great. before i talk about planning for the america's cup world series, i want to thank a few of our partners. richard helped me out, certainly, recognized our city family, partners at city hall, the mayor's office, the organizing committee, and finally, i would like to say, throw out all of our partners, we are making great progress. the planning environment in san francisco is like something i have never been involved in before. i know mountains have been moved to make this process as streamlined as it possibly can, and to satisfy the very stringent controls set forward, put forward, i think, is an important part of california leading the way. there are a number of people here today that were all involved in this process. everyone is pulling on th

you can see as we get to the latest fog imagery, it's pushing in across the marina green and san francisco. this area out here out towards lands end. you see fog out in outer richmond. that is the story, a cooldown. it never really got that hot but it's going to get a little cooler. these were the highs from today. slightly cooler than yesterday. they're going to be cooler tomorrow. the cooling trend has begun. we're talking about that fire in morgan hill, a big deal any time you have fires. and the weather has really been helpful with firefighters. with the moist cool air coming off the ocean, the fog and below average temperatures in many city. firefighters have had a much easier, early july. i'm trying to think of a time we had so few grass fires in july and june as well. here's your forecast tomorrow morning at 8:00 a.m. there's more of it. so a little more fog means cooler tomorrow. that's really how this goes. fog by tomorrow, lunchtime. you're seeing mostly sunny conditions. we go through the microclimates. mid-60s out toward treasure island. low 70s in berkeley. mid-70s out toward
