outburst at pnc bank came less than two months after the death of his father former councilmember marion barry. barry walked into the bank planning to withdraw money to pay his contractor employees. on record there was about $44,000 in that account and tellers were starting to count up the cash when the bank manager intervened. the defense said she had prior run-ins with barry and their conversation got heated. >> the statement made was if that's your attitude, you don't get any money. well, no one likes that. no one likes to hear going to a bank and someone telling them you're not going to get your money. >> reporter: do you think you have an anger problem? >> i don't have an anger problem. everybody gets angry. i don't have an anger problem. it was a sensitive time and tight situation. there was a lot going on personally, professionally, business wise, politically trying to start my campaign. >> reporter: but in the end the judge ordered barry to one year supervised probation telling him it's time to become a mature adult and realize your true potential. outside d.c. superior court, delia go

barbara, when marion barry died there was a lot of talk of his legacy specifically the summer youth job program that he founded. many many people saying that that was how they got their very first job, it was just incredibly helpful for them to get that first bit of employment history. now, mayor murial bowser has expanded upon that program to include an older group of people people who are 22 to 24 years old. now, a little bit, she's going to be signing legislation making this happen starting this summer. we talked to lamont burton he's 22 and he says there's a lot of help out there for younger people but not so much help for people who are in their early 20s. and he says this program is a chance for people like himself to prove themselves and perhaps take a summer job and turn it into something permanent. >> i'm a hard worker i'm going to hard work make sure i can make it a full-time job for me. >> and this is the first time that this age group, 22 to 24-year-olds have been included in the program and it's going to be starting this summer. the mayor, though calling for the council to
