her mother's boyfriend, 41-year-old mark ross is charged with giving the fatal dose to the teenager. according to the court paper work, ross told investigators he spent $80 on what he thought was heroin, not fentanyl and gave some to eve because she was upset her boyfriend didn't show up for a date. around 3:30 in the morning, he saw eve slumped over in bed and knew she was dead. he told investigators he threw out needles from room 117 and took some time to call 911 because jasmine would not wake up. he estimates there was a delay of an hour and a half. arriving officers say they walked into the motel room to find mark ross performing cpr while eve's mother paced. another adult charged in the case. 31-year-old-- >> that was jean mackin reporting. they say that eve tarmey overdosed on fentanyl. her mother's boyfriend could spend life in prison if he's found guilty of giving her the drug. and police say they busted two heroin dens in farmington. the month's long search culminated on thursday evening after they say they respond today drug overdoses and thefts at both addresses. official
