. >>> also tonight, hazmat crews are done with the cleanup after that mercury spill in martinez. this afternoon, the contra costa health department gave the all-clear and lifted the health advisory. this is good news. it all started last monday when someone dumped mercury into a trash can at the martinez amtrak station. a garbage crew then picked up the trash can, and the mercury started leaking from the garbage truck. it spread onto many city streets. crews spent the past week removing all the detectable mercury from more than 4,000 feet of roadway and that amtrak station. health officials are still trying to figure out who placed the mercury in the trash. >>> well, here she comes. vice president kamala harris is headed back to the bay area, this time a visit to sunnyvale. she's coming in next monday. the white house isn't saying exactly when she'll arrive, but we do know that she's headed to applied materials. that's because the company posted about it. the visit is centered around semiconductor research and development. this is part of a law signed last year that provides $280
