meteorologist marty coniglio joins us. while you were sleeping, police issued an amber alert for a little girl. she went missing in tarhonda thomas is here with more. tarhonda-- police say they know who took the girl. yes, this woman. thirty-year-old lauren perotti- montgomery. they say she "took off" in a truck-- with the child inside. police tried to stop her-- but she got away in a white ford f-150 pickup truck. in the back-- five- year-old analee keller. she has blonde hair and brown eyes... ...and was wearing a glittery grey shirt with black pants. analee is about three feet tall-- and weighs 45 pounds. police say the suspect is an "adult relative" of the child. they also say-- she may have been drunk, when they tried to pull her over in that truck. it's a mid-two- thousands model f-150. but police are not looking for that truck, anymore. the suspect-- lauren perotti- montgomery is 30 years old... five- foot-eight.. 130 pounds. she was wearing a green shirt and brown capri pants. anyone who's seen her, the child.. or

marty coniglio, meteorologist is joining us. 105 is the record and we won't get there today. >>> we won't make it. it was this day in 1878, the first time denver hit 105 degrees. we did again in 2005. and a couple of times in 2012. close to that today. and we will be quite warm. a little bit muggy this morning. temperatures in the 60s to near 70 degrees. and during the morning, and if you're working outside, it is going to be warm. upper 80s to about 910. and a very small -- 90. and a very small chance for a small pockets of storms during the later portion of the afternoon and we have thunderstorms in western colorado, and lightning, just really blowing up. especially within about 50, 60 miles either side of interstate 70 aspen area, and headed to vail, and avon, and eagle, and getting a thunderstorm right now, and we have some storms around the colorado national monument. and the number of strikes at 578, that is every 30 minutes, so that is a bet better part of 1,000 per hour, extremely active as far as lightning goes with the early morning storms. for us, one or two storms the best we

meteorologist marty coniglio joins us. marty-rainy day ahead of us... relentless flooding is forcing new evacuations in southern louisiana. the destruction is overwhelming. as homeland security secretary jeh johson toured the flood zone thursday -- an editorial was released in baton rouge's main newspaper. it urges president obama to visit the state. "fema" says more than 80-thousand people have applied for federal help. at least 13 people have died. it's hard for forecasters to keep up with such deat forecasters here in colorado during the floods of 20-13. but now scientists in boulder are trying to make those forecasts better. the national center for atmospheric research in boulder. is part of a team putting together a new forecast model for noaa. it could change the way we predict floods across the country. the way the national weather service forecasts floods now, happens based on information from specific sites.. usually on major rivers or waterways. that doesn't always could happen alonit did in colorado althis new computer st forecast whse measur

meteorologist marty coniglio joins us. marty- it's just a touch cooler today...but some big storms could pop up later in parts of colorado. once called "not grounded in reality" is ready to face the justi system. robert dear is accused of killing three people in a colorado springs planned parenthood last november. after his arrest- he repeatedly interrupted the judge, called himself a warrior for babies and fought with his defenders. ju unfit to stand trial in may.. the shooter called the judge a "filthy animal" in that hearing. today the judge will check back in to see if he's made enough progress to return to the courtroom. one of the men accused of mistakenly robbing the wrong home and seriously wounding a middle school teacher... is due in court today. cody jones turned himself in to golden police last month. the home invasion happened in may. police say jones and three other people went to the wrong golden home- looking for drugs and cash. one of the suspects--caleb williams--got in a fight and stabbed each other. jone
