there's an investigation this morning after a man drove three miles the wrong way on the massachusetts turnpike. it ended when he a hit a median barrier right near exit 17, the eastbound lane around the alston-brighton tolls. he was taken to the hospital after the crash. police say there was another crash as drivers tried to avoid his wrong-way vehicle. no one was hurt there. this man is facing a judge today charged in connection with the death of a toddler. leo witham is accused of purposely leaving the child alone. the 19-month-old died wednesday in an apartment in hampn. investigated. emily: 5 on the opioid crisis. new numbers showing nearly 300 people have died from drug overdoses in new hampshire so far this year. of those 280 overdose deaths, 191 are blamed on fentanyl or other drugs mixed with fentanyl. 89 cases are now pending toxicology results. hundreds of police reports are missing in texas and california, but a new study says those and a man uses twitter to save his brother from major flooding. how one photo became a lifeline for that family. and we are remembering the key moments f
