matt keller talked about the most recent theft. matt? >> this is not the first time this apple store here has been hit by thieves.police say it han three times before. they hope that surveillance video and evidence at the scene will lead them to an arrest. they put out new phones on the display near the front door. this comes less than 24 hours from when a group of teens or young men raided the store sunday. >> they're grabbed all the phones off the display phones and all the computers. they break the security cords and run out. they are in there less than 30 seconds. >> there were four thieves this time stealing about $50,000 worth of merchandise. they ran out to a get away car and suspect's faces were covered by the singed up hoody sweatshirts. the farmer's market was taking place and apple had security outside their store. >> he was able to get pictures and be a good witness. >> the store has been hit more than three times before. they have yet to make an arrest in the cases. yesterday's was the fifth since august 22nd. surveillance v

this week's took place in burlingame and that's where reporter matt keller is live this morning with more on this latest crime. matt? >> good morning. this one happened here at this apple store in burlingame at 11:30 on sunday morning. they were only open an hour and a half when opened by this group. they grbabbed items from the display tables. it appears they took about everything on one of the tables near the front door. no one was hurt. this is a trend we've been seeing in the bay area in recent weeks. five thefts since august 22nd including the one in burlingame. surveillance video from walnut creek, emeryville and santa rosa shows the thieves acted in similar ways. they call it a grab and run where they grab the electronics from the display tables and take off to a getaway car outside. these are expensive crimes. police estimate the thieves have gotten away with the electronics worth from 19,000 to more than $36,000. emeryville police say they believe some of the cases are connected and are working with other police departments. i reached out to apple about the thefts and they ha

abc7 news reporter matt keller is live at station 7. >> reporter: we're about 40 minutes away from the ceremony starting here. they'll be taking place at all fire stations across san francisco. the public is invited to attend. they start at 6:45 this morning. here's video from last year's ceremony at station 7. this one in san francisco. it's hard to believe it's been 17 years since the attacks on the world trade center, the pentagon and flight 93. san francisco firefighters are making sure the people who are killed are never forgotten. today's ceremony starts at 6:45 when fire engines and trucks will flank the driveway on both sides. firefighters will then assemble at attention in front of the station's flagpole. at 6:59 a.m., the time of the south tower collapse, three sets of three bell rings will chime signifying the last alarm. then at 7:00, flags will be lowered to half-staff followed by a minute of silence. at 7:02, all names of new york firefighters killed on 9/11 will be read allowed and flags will remain at half-staff for the remainder of the day. >>> a team of oakland firefi

abc 7 news reporter matt keller is live in san jose with the new timetable. matt?ng, jessica and reggie. i did a story in april about vta testing the tracks here at the berryessa bart station. now they said at that time they were hoping to have passengers here at this station by the end of the this year but now, new delays and now they're hoping to have the station open by the end of next year. so what went wrong in berryessa bart. bta was informed almost three months ago some of the networking equipment does not comply with contract requirements and must be replaced. i was in contact with them and a spokesperson says parts need to be replaced and some of them were used parts. bta says some of the replacement parts have been delivered and the rest have been ordered. in a blog post last night, bta has requested an exit engs to the federal transit administration to reflect the start of passenger service no later than december 31st, 2019. our media partner "the mercury news" says that would mean the bart extension to berryessa would open three years after officials ho
