this week's took place in burlingame and that's where reporter matt keller is live this morning with more on this latest crime. matt? >> good morning. this one happened here at this apple store in burlingame at 11:30 on sunday morning. they were only open an hour and a half when opened by this group. they grbabbed items from the display tables. it appears they took about everything on one of the tables near the front door. no one was hurt. this is a trend we've been seeing in the bay area in recent weeks. five thefts since august 22nd including the one in burlingame. surveillance video from walnut creek, emeryville and santa rosa shows the thieves acted in similar ways. they call it a grab and run where they grab the electronics from the display tables and take off to a getaway car outside. these are expensive crimes. police estimate the thieves have gotten away with the electronics worth from 19,000 to more than $36,000. emeryville police say they believe some of the cases are connected and are working with other police departments. i reached out to apple about the thefts and they ha
