matt keller on the scene. matt? >> i talked with a firefighter and he said they got a "stop" on the near but it is not under control. the trailer was on fire for half an hour and the call came before 6:00 and we have watched the intense firefighter as firefighters are dealing with a lost factors. there is a large warehouse so the concern is they do not want it to go into the warehouse next door. they are not saying it is under control but they made progress in this. >> also, there are several 50 gallon drums right here in front of us where we are standing and they are full of oil. that was a concern about haz-mat so firefighters made sure they got in front of that and put hoses on keeping the flames we heard the chain saw would being and they were trying to get access to the building. they had their breathing apparatus on with a lot of materials benefit the oil with propane tanks and plastic bug -- plastic buckets causing problems for breathing with smoke coming from the trailer so firefighters are be extra careful and wearing breathing apparatus. a couple of firefighters were being hosed off because they were concerned about the payment -- paint being filmable and the firefighters could catch on fire. we saw two or three firefighters being hosed off by other firefighters. we are looking at the scene. they are putting at the love water on the trailer to make sure they have it out. it does appear the danger is over right now and the warehouse has been kept safe from the fire of the trailer. we will be on the scene and bring you updates when they come in. >>> thanks, mattvestigators are still at scene of a fatal fire after midnight firefighters found a person dead 6' from the front door of a guest house on south willard avenue. the fire caused the roof to collapse and neighbors say a middle age man who lived in the house is not accounted for. >> on the roof, mike nicco has a dry day. that will containing soon. >> absolutely. we have less than 30 hours before the heavy rain hits. we have been tracking low clouds and fog, the low clouds more widespread as we talked about and thickest around novato and petaluma. what going do happen today? it is transition day. we starting off milder with temperatures if the low 40's in the north bay and mid-40's to 54 and a transition from low cloud to high clouds headed to noon and the break will help us warm into the upper 50's to mid-60's. we will be cooler than yesterday for our temperatures, and clouds and dry at 7:00 with temperatures running in the mid-50's to around 60. mild and quiet. hope you enjoyed day. here

matt stephani. matt, a real pleasure. welcome to cnbc and "street signs." you picked the best show to start your cnbc career on. is there a way now to mitigate some of the pain? who are you buying in relation to oil prices? >> well, in relation to oil prices right now what we're looking at is some oil field service companies, baker hughes, halliburton. we believe the technology they provide to the energy service space is going to significantly increase their profits. when we look at oil field service companies, we like the sand companies, u.s. silica, high crush sand, where they mine sand that is used in hydraulic fracturing to fracture wells and increase production from those wells. we think those are great opportunities in the energy space. >> you know, with natural gas, as the price goes down, you're more economically likely to cap a well, right, or whatever it might be because it's not profitable, right? >> sure. >> with natural gas prices going up a little bit lately, in fact up a lot bit lately, are more wells going to open up and thus increase demand for the companies and services you just recommended? >> i think that's a big factor. as you look at prices of natural gas above $4, many of the companies we look at from an exploration and production standpoint actually can make money and they're willing to drill new wells. that benefits the service companies tremendously. >> what about alternative energy companies? where do they fit into this, matt? >> mandy, we think there's a global crisis coming. we think that actually energy in its cheap form is about to end. if you look at the billion automobiles driving on the planet right now, in 35 years, that will be 2.5 billion cars. you look at a billion people worldwide that don't even have electricity in their homes. that's all changing. the u.n. is going to increase their funding of developing those nations, and we expect to see substantial increases in investments in alternative energies to meet that demand. so we've looked at companies such as siemens, such as vestus where they supply into the wind space. >> matt, thank you. we'll see you again. >> brian, mandy, thanks for the time. >>> here is a riddle for you, dear viewer or listener, the super rich may be dumping stocks to buy this. the answer has to come next. matt cheslock. matt, you have been waiting for this pull back in the market. have you had enough yet? is there more to come? >> well, you know, i think we're not done yet. i think we're starting to see some movement in the market. we're seeing the transports are down pretty big today. they've been a leader as we've gone forward. i'm not seeing the buy side we'd hoped for. it's still sell that rally mentality and not buy the dip. >> larry, what about you? >> i think short term you could get a little bit of a valley. yesterday vix call -- call versus put volume was close to 3 to 1 which is one of the highest levels in a long time. i think you go the other way. when i see that, i want to go the other way. it's a good contrarian short-term indicator. >> i was going to say so this is it then. is that what you're saying, larry? >> no, i think we could get a 20, 30 handle bounce in the next week and a half, two weeks, and then over the next month retest these lows that we're at right now and maybe go through them. >> what about that sentiment indicator, though, mattlity index did get to 20. it got to 21. the last time we were there marked a short-term bottom for this market in october. >> well, you know, there's plenty of time for people to put their money in. we've heard all along that the market is going to be strong, the market is going to be strong. they were expecting to buy this dip. so if they're going to buy it, this is a good time. if they don't and we see a 10% correction, god forbid, it might be a really healthy time for people to get in. there are a lot of values here that people have been waiting to buy. you know, twitter is an example. earnings coming out. are we going to buy this at near highs that we're seeing right now? i'm not sure we're going to see that. it's going to be really interesting to watch that one. >> you said god forbid on a 10% correction. would it be that bad? >> not for me. you reminded me of that again this morning. i think if you're an investor, i think you have plenty of money on the sidelines. that's what we'
