(terisa estacio)at the sonoma skypark pilot ron price tells me that he saw william goldman just before he took off in his cirrus sr22 his children and nanny on board. it was only 1000 feet later that the cirrus crashed in this field south of the airport. goldman died at the scene, his children now in the hospital, as well as the nanny. ron unfortunate really.throughout the day, agents with the national transportation safety board descended up on the field to examine the plane. they plan to be on site documenting the wreckage throughout the weekend.

kron4's maureen kelly gives us a glimpse behind the scenes of one of the biggest fireworks displays onoast. before the explosions all that can be heard are hammersas 30 pyro technicians set up the mortars..that are wired up with what are called electronic matches..and loaded with 15-20 tons explosive material..in the form of aerial shells. this is a mock up of what they look like inside. they will be launched from two bargeswith roughly 10-thousand effects going off in 25 minutes. this video from last year gives you an idea of the specatular display to expect. (vicki) the wildfire near lake mcclure in mariposa county is forcing residents to evacuate their homes. now being called the detwiller fire-- it has already burned 25-hundred acres. fire crews say it is zero percent contained... and steep areas with heavy brush are hampering firefighting efforts. the rapidly growing fire has forced janet kirkland and her two pets out their home. (janet kirkland/evacuee): "that's just the way it goes up here on this mountain you just learn to live with it, because every year you take the chance of burning out... my house isn't much but it's all i have i don't want to see it go." p-g-and-e is assisting by de-energizing several power lines in the fire area. cal fire says the wildfire is now threatening several structures... and several roads in the area have been closed. the cause of the fire is under investigation. kron4's maureen kelly reports that william goldman was continuing that tradition in his own life. 38ar old willam sachs goldman's family has deep roots woven into the fabric of san francisco history. his grandmother was a descendent of levi strauss... and along with her husband... established the prestigious goldman environmental prize the world's largest prize for grassroots enviromental activists. the pair was known nationally for supporting many causes, donating hundreds of millions of dollars. william goldman, known as bill to his friends, continued that work locally as the president of the board of directors for the haas senior fund which gives grants to numerous bay area organizations working to build a more equitable community. he was also on the board of the new isreal fund which supports women's rights, lgbtq rights and palestinian rights in israel. in a statement the ceo said that goldman was fiercely dedicated to the new israel funds work to promote democracy and equality for all israeli's. his vision, idealism, and sharp sense of humor the sustained us all.but even coming

( darya ) two people have been arrested for the murder of a 17-year-old boy from morgan hill. 25-year-old giovanny ortiz and 18-year-old eric carter were arrested at a modesto motel. police say the pair shot alexis cardenas gutierrez in his car in santa clara last wednesday. when officers found the teenager, he had crashed his car. he later died at the hospital. officers say both ortiz and carter are at santa clara county jail and are scheduled to appear in court ( mark ) happening today... crews in san francisco will remove the final pieces of the sunken barge called the 'vengeance.' the barge sunk back in april - just south of the bay bridge. it carried at least 27-hundr
