we're looking at a smooth flow for the approaches to the maze and the east bay. it's farther east where livermore is the topic. the weather there 58 degrees, a shooth drive b. the same for the speeds. but getting into the area out of the altamont slowing, the orange where speeds come down to 50 miles per hour range. you have half lanes open. just two there, westbound 580 at spring town boulevard. there is a big rig reported involved in this crash. sounds like it stopped to block the other two cars in front of the driver for safety sake. that's why the big rig is there. it's a distraction with all of the vehicles just as the commute is starting to build coming in. we'll track this but it only afolks through livermore if you make the cut through livermore 84 is moving smoothly into the south bay or the northbound routes are moving as well. a quick check out there, this is the north bay, southbound 101, few cars. a lighter flow than yesterday but we're watching for the time change to affect pattern when we have usually the heaviest flow for the week. >> 4:40. today

westbound i-80 from ford to the maze is 18 minutes and when 80 from the bay bridge to san francisco is1 southbound from san francisco to sfo is ten minutes. outside to san jose northbound 87 to the tank you can see traffic is flowing smoothly and no problems are reported. >> san jose police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a horrific accident that killed a three-year-old boy and injured two others. a roadside memorial is growing for the young victim. matt is on the scene in san jose. >> sad story. you can see the markings on the ground near the crosswalk from the police investigation. across the street an outpouring love for the victim the three-year-old would was hit on sunday while being pushed to the park. the 13-year-old family friend was pushing the boy if a stroller and holding the hand of his six-year-old sister when they crossed the street in the crosswalk with the friend light. the driver did not yield. the boy died an hour after being taken to the hospital. >> high was a smart little three-year-old and just awesome. i have never seen a three-year-old so smart.
