and as wesh 2' s dave mcdaniel found out, the same dogs have spilled people' s blood before. 911 caller: there' s four dogs attacking her, please. dave: two calls to 911 sent help scrambling toward the stonebrook apartments tuesday. 911 caller: they won' t let go of her arm. dave: a sanford police officer had to open fire to end the threat. four dogs, described as pit bull types, killed inside the third floor apartment. one dog died after being shot a sixth dog is in quarantine, standard procedure. last month and not all that far from here, sanford police investigated a case where two people were bitten by four pit bulls. we' re being told today by animal control that those four dogs are four of the six involved in tuesday' s incident here. in the december case, the dogs were put in quarantine and later returned to the owner after the quarantine period. the animal services director says since the injuries in december were not severe, and since it was the first case reported on these dogs, he had no legal reason to not give them back to the owner. and, he points out, in december, the dog
