there's the heavy rain moving into mcdill. everything south of kennedy is wet right now except for the southern tip of mcdill. that storm is moving to the southwest. if you watch us over by gandy and over by fort street and northeast st. pete, some storms some storms develop and dive to the southwest. big storm over the green swamp close to lakeland. they're sliding southwest, and if you watch us over by sglep zephyrhills you could hit by that thunderstorm. elsewhere, not mh in hern a lot in our southern counties except one storm is popping up near sun city center. that's moving southwest. one tiny shower near bradenton. we update sky tower at about 6:15. tracking the invest 99-l is the one that bears watching much again, invest is short for investigation. in the atlancse numbers between 90 and 99 and the letter l stands for the atlantic. they rotate between 90 and the 99. it's 60% in five days. in the short term this is not a systems. i think in a couple of days, it will move towards the bahamas, at least the turks and caicos

mcdill air force picked up 3/10, safety harbor, oldsmar area, odessa, 6/10 of an inch of rain. but for that much, seeing these isolated areas. reason why, we did have the east, southeasterly winds over the state so that was in place but in the upper levels of the atmosphere, we had the upper level low that was spinning by, and dry air moved over the state. this low will continue to work its way to the west. as it does so it's going to pull this which is more moisture over the state. so we are below normal for the right back up tomorrow. we will have the morning sun around but as we get into the afternoon, we get the heating, showers and thunderstorms developing to the south and east and popular right across the state. outside right now because we just didn't have much rain around, 82?, very steamy night, dew point's at 72, humidity at 70%. winds out of the east at 5, bradenton and sarasota boat at 77, clearwater, still a muggy 83?. there's that area low pressure still causing the heavy rains across portions of louisiana. this is going to slowly work its way onto the west as we

hurricane hunter aircraft flying out of mcdill in tampa did detect a wind speed of about 24 miles per hour soar to be a fully exposed somewhat of a low-level circulation but very difficult to detect. the spaghetti models which will be changeable needless to say shifted to the west today. if the computer model doesn't have something to initialize off of it's more difficult to get a definitive track from these models, so that's why it changes we have to be patient to wait for it to form, and it may do that in about a day and a half as it gets over warmer waters. then we'd get a better idea of the forecast. but we should all just keep an eye on it and see how it could affect our weather if at all. >>thank you, steve. >>> newly released surveillance video could be the ski to putting the cuffs on a campus creep. the man may have gone streaking in a parking garage. chip osowski joins us live. >> reporter: it's a possibility that he is a repeat oftener. usf had a similar case last year and now police are thinking that guy may be this guy. the video shows the man entering the argo center and

brandon at 77 and 76 degrees currently at mcdill air force base. here's the high resolution rapid refresh model that gives us a good idea of when the storms will form, again, pulling over from the east coast by about 2:00 or so. we'll start to see some spotty showers then through pasco county. more through polk and then they'll pull back toward the west. by the time folks start tailgating, we could see spotty showers around through tampa, and they'll continue right up toward game time. bucs and browns are going to be out at the stadium earlier on. we'll start to see the sun come through about 89 degrees by 6:00 as folks pile in to ray jay. kickoff will be steamy about 86 degrees. partly cloudy skies, and it will remain partly cloudy through the game. it looks like a better chance better chances on sunday as we get more moisture in. what happens monday and tuesday is entirely up to what that storm system down around cuba does. we'll keep you posted. right now it's breezy both days, but it is too early to tell because the storm is so loosely defined.

. >> it's interesting that the hurricane hunters are flying to mcdill. i know one of them so i messaged him. this is a mess. let's talk about and tell you why this is not continuing t matter in the long run. it likely will get some impacts from this organized wake which, by the way, they are finding 49 mile-per-hour winds. if i didn't know what was happening and you showed me this satellite, i would tell you thunderstorms have gone on in the island of hispaniola. this does not look like a tropic ale system. it's very disorganized. you need them to be calm for the thunderstorms to continue to wrap around for the system to get organized. these are very unfavorable winds. so long as that's pushing away from the center, the system can't organize. but pay attention to what happens on the other side. if the system survives and heads to the bahamas, conditions are more favorable for development. we'll watch these closely as it continues to head off to north and west. computer model forecasts haven't changed as far as that track. this is about all we know right
