we are talking about garlic fries at mcdonald's.ries took the south bay by storm two weeks ago so much so the chain sold out. >> but they are back. so is today in the bay's kris sanchez this morning. how early do they start serving them up hot there? >> we haven't smelled the garlic cooking. a lot of people left with their mouths watering after the first trial run. had to be stopped because demand outpaced the supply of that iconic gilroy garlic. so many people ordered up the fries with the gilroy garlic puree, olive oil, parmesan cheese and particlesy the trial run was cut short after two weeks. that begins again today with greater supply. it's an attempt to tap into regional flavors.
