we'll talk to kt mcfarland. bill: protesters remain in small southern california town at the center of this battle over immigration. in murrieta, california, north of san diego, one of place where american authorities are moving a growing wave of illegals. will carr there is live in murrieta. what are they expecting, will. >> reporter: there are expected to be back out here in force today. for many of these residents their city has become a flashpoint for the immigration crisis going on across the country right now. on friday, six protesters were arrested. about 120 people showed up. a third of whom showed up to try to stop any buses from delivering more migrant transfers. the rest ended up showing up, to show their support for the minimum grants. >> murrieta does not have the resources to support this influx of people. >> they have a chance like everybody else to come to america. >> i think we should put them on the bus to send them back. i realize can't send them back to mexico. they're illegal. >> they're vic

kt mcfarland in studio.ti ann: we are expecting a vote from the united nations security council today on a resolution condemning the shooting down of a commercial plane over eastern ukraine last week and ordering an international investigation into that crash which killed all 298 passengers and crew. but there is already talk that the resolution's wording is being watered down to appease russia. chief correspondent jonathan hunt live in our newsroom with the latest. jonathan what is this resolution likely to say at the end? >> reporter: patti ann, if u.s. and other western officials get their way this resolution will outright condemn the downing of flight mh17. it will call on the pro-russian separatists who currently control the crash site to allow full and immediate access for international investigators. it will also demand that those responsible for the shooting down of mh17 be held accountable but what it probably will not be able to do is say exactly whom the security council believes is responsible fo

. >> joining me now on the phone, kt mcfarland, national security analyst just back from ukraine lastonth. what do you make of this breaking news and malaysian airlines jetliner shot down over ukraine near the russian border? >> several things. one, earlier this week on sunday there was ukrainian cargo plane shot down. we have the ability to see heat signatures bid about a hanley on the record confirmation, though off the record confirmation as we were able to track it, we sought was taken down from a missile and the missile came from inside russia. that was monday. now thursday in the plane is missing in the same area. with the russians have shot it down? i think it is unlikely. with the ukrainians shot it down? i think it is far more likely rebels in eastern ukraine trying to get the russians and everybody back involved. the russians are not fighting an overall war. they are fighting what they call a "phony" war. they are not doing it with russian badges on or russian uniforms, they are doing it because they don't want to own it. they want to look like it is really just the rebels.

mcfarland about it. in order to get a real cease-fire each side has to feel like they got something and in that case israel wants to shut down the tunnels and demilitarize gaza. doesn't look like we are anywhere near that kind of resolution. how far would you allow israel to go in this? how far would you encourage them to go if you were in john kerry's position? how would you be doing things differently? >> i would not be trying to broker a cease-fire. i would be encouraging israel to do what it needs to do to eliminate the hamas for at. when you are attacked the right of self-defense doesn't mean simply responding for a little while. includes up to destroying the adversary that has attacked you and i must say the attacks on the tunnel's the israelis have carried out, the infiltration tunnels into israel are obviously important to protect the civilian population but that is not the main threat. people have to stop focusing on the infiltration tunnels. the real issues the longer-range missiles that iran h

want to bring in our fox news analyst, kt mcfarland on this and how are you doing? >> good.ill: you say the main point in a lot of this right now is that putin's secret war is no longer secret. explain that. >> i was just in ukraine last month and i met with officials from the ministry of defense and intelligence and they all said look, you guys don't understand. we've been invaded. the russians have invaded eastern ukraine. they have amassed troops along the border but they have sent in tanks, military equipment, military personnel, special-ops guys. they're not wearing russian uniforms. insignia has been wiped off the side of the tanks but we have been invaded. and putin's plan, was that he would reconstitute the russian empire by these phony wars, by secret invasions. he would make it look like it was russian egg nicks in those -- ethnics in the count saying we don't want to be part of ukraine, we're not crimea, we want to be part of russia. in fact it was russians doing it. the lid is off that now. no doubt about it, that ukraine has been invaded by russians and now that
