megan mcgrath is there live with more on what happened. megan, good morning. >> reporter: good morning, guys. all of this unfolded last night on very busy veers mill road. if you take a look right here at this intersection here. now, we've got video to show you. take a look. it was 9:45 last night. a 74-year-old man was driving a motor scooter. he was southbound on monterrey drive and was crossing over on veers mill. successfully got across the westbound lanes, but when it got to the eastbound side, that's when he was struck. the scooter was struck by an unmarked montgomery county police cruiser. was on duty at the time. he immediately gave first aid. the man on the scooter was taken to a nearby hospital but he later died of the injuries. now, it's unclear exactly who was at fault here. there were a number of witnesses who were here on the scene. stayed on the scene and talked to investigators. at this point, they're sifting through all of that information trying to piece together exactly what happened. but a 74-year-old man was killed. ba
