jennifer joyce at meade elementary with more from north philly. this is scary, jennifer. >> reporter: very scare. parents tell us they're upset about this, not only because need was found here at the school but also tell us they weren't even notified of the incident, only the few set of parents, whose children became victims of the needles were told about the incident. police say it was needles like these that were found at meade elementary school. and the report as many as five children were poke with the needles. if that's not concerning enough, police tell it is happened tuesday morning, and they weren't notified until almost 5:00 p.m. it is unclear why it took the school more than five hours to notify the philadelphia police department because investigators tell us that the needles used were turned into a lunchtime aid, and then handed over to school police. one of the victims little girl told police that she was poked in the back with one of the needles. she ended upgoing to the hospital. she didn't have any visible marks. >> big step for big
