we have a few rain drops, quincy, randolph even up to medfield this morning. look to the south. see the yellows and oranges. these are heavy downpours right now. moving up toward brockton over lakeville over new bedford. these continue to lift on toward the north so plymouth you're going to get in on this heavier rain. a few downpours east of hyannis now on the cape. look at the lightning strikes here in the waters to our south. these downpours that have made their way into southeastern massachusetts at one point did have some lightning associated with them. so i anticipate these will be weakening as they lift north ward but it is not out of the question that on the south coast, the cape, the islands you could even hear a rumble of thunder this morning. this is all associated with an area of low pressure that is morning. and then as we look into the afternoon, we're going to focus our attention on this frontal west. behind it, the temperatures really cool off. you can see 40's, even 30's showing up back here. and this is the cooler air that is going to start to step in. while. n
