melanie carr is live in columbia, south carolina. melanie, what happened?> well, greta, the video released yesterday shows school resource officer ben fields grabbing a student at spring valley high school in columbia from a classroom. when she resists he flips her over in her desk and drags her to the front of the room. the girl had been using her cell phone in class and the teacher called an administrator to remove the student from the class. and when she refused, they called in the student resource officer. now, three videos have surfaced that show more clearly that when officer fields grabbed the girl to arrest her, she punched him in his face. however, she did not have a weapon and that's when he violent rye retaliated. now, we heard from the sheriff just a few hours ago who said this video made him want to throw up. they launched internal investigation in the department to determine if the officer's response was aren't warr warranted. they have asked the fbi and u.s. justice department to launch a civil rights investigation. the officer has been suspe
