showers arriving mendocino and sonoma county probably 5:00 and the chance throughout the evening hours the rain line by ukiah but pushing through santa rosa, 8:00. it's not quite into san francisco but by midnight we're looking at the frontal passage and behind it we see more showers and some colder air. so in the north bay tomorrow morning and even in the east bay, the south bay, look for the possibility of some showers, on isolated thunderstorm and by the afternoon things will quiet down but it will be cool the next several days as this cold air is gonna replace what we have had. it hasn't been too warm in the past couple days. up to an inch of rain in the north bay, especially the mountains. the higher elevations about a 10th of an inch. parts of the south bay could see anywhere from a half to three-quarters of an inch. i talked about the snow a little in the mountains. the first snow since the middle of the month with 2 to 4, 3 to 6 inches, similar around there at lake level and above 7,000 feet anywhere from 6 to 12 inches. keep that in mind if you're headed up to the mountains. r
