hit commercial areas from the october firestorm..at the intersection of fountaingrove parkway and mendocino avenue. kron4's maureen kelly talked to an eyewitness who helped pull some of the survivors to safety. i could a got killed, i came a split-second from that truck hit me.here's the charred and broken down remains of the dump truck that larry broderick says appeared to be out of control as it entered the intersection just as he cleared it.where would i get to the intersection powell that ford pick up truck gets hit, spun around, the ford pick up truck hits the the bronco then the truck continues up the road and hits everything up therehere's what left of the front end of that first truck that was hit...the eyewitness says the female driver appeared pinned behind the steering wheel.he says the dump truck was leaking fuel as it continued up the overpass, colliding with seven other vechiles and fire soon followed........six of the 10 vehicles involved were burned. with the help of other bystanders on the scene larry urged some of the dazed drivers to get out of their burning vehicles....
