mendocino county lake mendocino. three quarters of an inch mount seen.a half inch of rain. yukiya have inch rain ha planned 46 100. there's been over an inch for a couple of locations to the north. other locations. little closer to home here, though, mount veeder napa county 0.6 oh casa dero over half inch rain mount tam two tents. calistoga santa rosa 13 100 sandra fell just over a tense and i'm a point. oh eight oakland, berkeley hills with a point. oh, four. but our system is moving south, still producing snow in the sierra. now it's made it down to about 4600 ft. it's going to go up that snow level snowing when winter weather advisories out, but the snow level up to 5,506,000 ft would not surprise me. this is a warm air mass and as that comes in, and the wind is south southwest, that's going to send those temperatures and that snow level up, maybe one above lake level by the time we get to early next week, but that's a deep plume of moisture coming and so for the first system it's all about areas to the north, far less to the south. but the saturday

we've been seeing it all morning long and lake and mendocino counties.s really starting to pick up in sonoma county. now parts of the north bay peninsula in the east bay are starting to see really just some light showers, heavier stuff sitting right to the west of us. and that's going to shift its energy more and more our direction. so it's only a short time now before we start seeing rainfall little bit more widespread, really starting to pick up, especially for the north bay. we're sitting right on the jet stream and doing so. we are right in the path of these multiple systems had one earlier this week. now we're looking at this one another saturday morning and another on tuesday. so interspersed by some dry days. finally looking active system, an unsettled weather pattern that we've needed for. so so long now, north bay, big winners, as far as rainfall goes today, seeing the heaviest of rainfall concentrate, especially in sonoma and napa counties. snowfall stays with us all day long up in the sierra nevada. it's going to stay put into tomorrow morning

rainfall up in northern mendocino county. you kai is still dry, but that's going to be one of our first spots that really starts to see the rain coming down. so we're consistently dry across the bay area right now. this is the first system followed immediately by a second low pressure system. and that's why prolonged rain and prolong snow here. the first wave comes in tonight into tomorrow morning, followed by a second wave that kicks up tomorrow night into friday morning. as for that first wave of moisture, it pushes in later today. we'll start to see showers mid afternoon for the very northern edge of sonoma county, mostly north of santa rosa. the commute. time tonight for your drive home from work. we're seeing consistently rainy conditions in the north bay pushing further and further southward into the early evening for the rest of the bay area. and then rainfall stays with us on and off all the way through tomorrow morning. snow is really going to pick up early tomorrow morning right around midnight time tonight and pock

there are some upper twenties up in the mendocino county and lake county , so your tuesday to step has a cold morning. mostly sunny. there are some clouds colder air coming over the cold ocean temps for generating a few clouds. along the coast and also to the north, but mostly sunny today, but temperatures staying cool with the northwest berries, fifties 10 years 60 degrees. alright cells here at 701 in the morning and he's here to tell us the traffic is it's mostly okay and routine. there are a couple of spots that might throw you off if you're driving to martinez or venetia. and you're driving on 6 80. there's a crash that's been there for a while. sat down 6 80 near the lake herman exit, so the easiest alternate would be to use 80 and come down this way. and you 7 80 instead of using 6 80 to get down to the beneath the bridge. if you can do that, also looking at highway four. we do have some slowing on westbound four coming over the hill to concord. 6 80 looks alright, a little slowing at 24 at the bay bridge. we do have a little bit of slowing at the tall plants. it's backed up alm

i'm too hard north up in the mendocino county that will eventually spread to the south. rainfall expectations. this will most likely be the strongest system so far of 2022. it's not saying much because there has not been a lot of activity, but just just to give you some perspective. this will definitely be stronger than the recent rain events here in the bay area. rainfall expectations about a half an inch to about 1.75 inches, the winds around 20 to 30 miles an hour and this will be a major snow producer in the sierra. there's a chance we could have maybe some some closures on 80 and 50 with some of the heavy snow that will be following as we head into, especially tonight and into a thursday so the winter storm warning begins later on this afternoon snowfall potentially around 12 to 24 inches and maybe approaching three ft for the highest peaks of the sierra of the west slopes. here's a satellite the radar right now. i can't see i can report to some rainfall. but in the uk a right now, this looks like some of that energy is moving into a northern sonoma county approachi

as we go to the north bay valleys, upper 80s, 90s into lake and mendocino. me show you how this changes. if you look at what the wind are doing today, streamlines here are going offshore. that's typical when you get warmer temperatures. look how things change tomorrow. you see the screen light up. on shore winds return. that's how you break heat waves. when we get to summer, sometimes that can take days. it's going to impact us differently depending where you are. you are really going to feel this in the city and the peninsula. you will not get out of the upper 60s tomorrow. in the city and peninsula, that's a 15-degree drop tomorrow. inland you will have to settle to a three to five degree cool down tomorrow. saturday and sunday, that's when you will get the benefit. part of the reason we get a more meaningful cool down is because this system trying to head our way will get us rain that gets us to monday. if we look at how much rain we can see, we still have rain on track in the forecast. we could get a little more than a tenth of rain by monday. do you see
