no, tom, you've been trying to make your way to that scene in menlo park. two are stuck in all of this traffic. any update on the situation. big update and this is the update. what we found out is that from the chp that they expect that they will be able to open the freeway, both directions and about 20 minutes , which basically means that about a quarter to, um the hour or maybe 10 to the arrow, they'll actually be able to open this and the reason that they think that is because the wire apparently is properly strong, and they're getting it. uh you know, settled the way they need to settle it. and so as a result. that's what i've just learned from the chp. okay yeah , we can see a few cars moving and one direction, but obviously in the other direction, i mean, it is just at a complete, complete standstill right now. the expectation is probably around five o'clock traffic will begin moving once again. if if not before that, and the thing that's interesting about this is that they've done the things that they need to do. now the other part of this is there's

there are almost 8000 customers in east palo alto and menlo park that are out of power. and as soon as we do the finishing touches on the work that was done here. in the next couple of hours. those customers should be back in power. just the thing that people understand. it's not just a matter of hooking up a wire and energizing it. you've got a plenty of other things happy being done to make sure that everybody gets the right power at the right time. and all of that, exactly, tom. we've seen a ton of damage on the system from the windstorm the last couple of days, and there was a lot of repair work that went in leading up to this job to be able to get the system. alright so and this was really the finishing touch to that work. and one final thing is just the number of trees that seem to be falling. ah you know, in inclement weather, and we've got more of that coming. you must be concerned about that. we certainly do have more weather coming between the drought in the storms that we saw back in january. we definitely saw a lot more vegetation down and coming into lines i

anyone who has information is asked to call menlo park police. san jose police department revealed details today of what they describe as a one man crime spree that left 2 people dead. >> a number of people injured and one suspect in custody. this is the suspect, ricardo padilla. he is now facing charges for a series of violent incidents spanning several months during 2021. the alleged crime spree started according to police on may, the 9th 2021, when padilla is alleged to have stabbed someone along margaret street in san jose. a few days later, padilla is alleged to have assaulted a man outside a 7.11 store and then stabbed another person on the same day along coyote creek. then on may 31st. padilla is alleged to have shot and killed this man. thomas column e a that incident happened near pre post street and west virginia street in san jose. then on june 4th, he is alleged to have tried to run over a livermore police officer. that incident resulted in padilla being charged with attempted murder on june 22nd of 2021. padilla was allegedly involve
