our michael & son weather camera, it is quiet this morning. partly cloudy skies and 67 degrees at reagan national. dew points in the upper 50s. here's a number we haven't seen in a while. this number, the higher it is, itself more moisture that's actually out there. our weather headlines near record highs today. record high is 92. that was set back in 2002. all the airports actually set the record in 2002 ranging from 90 to 92 out there. it will be cooler tuesday and especially wednesday. rain chances stay low and maybe by wednesday we get a chance for a shower. but you can see what's happening here. with all the warmth across the tennessee valley into the ohio valley with 60s and 70s but on the back side we have 30s. bismarck to casper and denver. there's the storm system. it's actually the low pressure pushing through wisconsin with the trailing cold front now all the way down toward houston. the moisture trying to come on shore from the gulf of mexico. but we're not going to see much of that. i think this front is going to have a tough time maintaining itself with the moisture as it c

right now our michael & son camera shows a pretty picture of the capitol building, about 40 degrees for the reagan national airport. in toward the futurecast forecast model, we'll continue to show moisture down toward our south but as the drier air pushes on through we'll have even more sunshine in the forecast as we get in toward friday afternoon and evening and in fact tomorrow's temperatures because of the north winds we're going to hold it down just a little bit more in toward the afternoon. then we clear thing out nicely. by friday night and saturday we're looking pretty good which means a bit of a turnaround for the weekend. although we cool down on friday, we start a bit of a warmup saturday and sunday and that's good news if you have any of the weekend plans for easter sunday. or beyond. and it looks like we'll keep the forecast dry at least until we get into the start of next week. so here's what you need to know for today. forecast highs should get us to about 62 degrees. for reagan national airport we'll see about 62 for manassas. but in the meantime though, a very cool couple of nights

michael & son weather camera you can see the sun glints off the capitol dome there. the flags are still blowing and the winds which are out of the northwest at 10 at reagan national. little bit stronger in elevation. throughout the ground there at the capitol. dew point is 32 and the air is dry and humidity 65%. and we don't have a red flag warning we still have an elevated fire danger. and until we get some rain or wider winds that's going to be the case and the winds will calm down tonight and tomorrow. still watching the storm system this morning spinning here off the toast coast. some rain showers along coastal areas of new england. this brought us our unsettled afternoon yesterday when we had the rain and even the snow showers in spots. graupel little snow pellets. that is all left the region. and we're looking at a good deal of sunshine today. maybe a pop-up shower pennsylvania northeastern maryland this afternoon. but overall partly to mostly sunny. still breezy. clear tonight. low in the upper 30s and low 40s. for tomorrow into the 60s with lots of sunshine and the weekend -- well, little system passes mainly north of us and we're going into the 70s saturd
