row for 2023. >> you know what, to that point, mike, we were just talking earlier today about maybe the markets slowingour mind, with so many big earnings next week, is this kind of a pivot point for the market potentially, to take a turn either to the upside or to the downside? >> i think it's definitely a multiple for investors' attention to pivot and shift towards company-funded medals. no more fed speak after today. of course, the macro numbers matter but it is going to be about evaluating whether full-year 2023 forecasts are completely, you know, out of the zone of reality or if they look like they're more or less what we can count on that will tell us whether stocks have overshot or not, if they're too expensive at these levels with yields coming in quite a bit recently by the way, treasury yields, getting some traction here after a big decline. that also could be reassuring, believe it or not, in the short-term for equities, because that panic buying in long-term treasuries and further inversion of the yield curve actually spooked the stock market earlier this week. >> mike santoli with the midd

row that is tight right now. that is the case for upside in commodity prices, a strong return of the chinese economy. lisa:, which upside could that be? mikey not to predict because you are always wrong. supply and demand are fairly balanced. as economies have open, supplies struggling to keep up. that is why even before the war again, we saw strength in prices. there are rules on which countries can buy from other countries and what prices. shipping lanes are longer than they were before and strain on these markets. it wouldn't take a big surge from china to push on those constraints. lisa: concerns in frictions, have you changed where you do your production and where you focus some of chevron's drilling and exploration? mike: we haven't. those are long-term views we make on supply and demand technology. we need to be nimble with logistics with the way we manage supply relationships with our customers in order to make sure we meet our obligations. there is a lot of commercial and logistics activity to respond to the kinds of things we are talking about, but long-term decisions made on the fundamentals of the geology, orchids and a long-te

rows up watching this happen. let's bring into the conversation somebody who is involved in this from capitol hill, republican mikeressman-elect, sir, since nobody was sworn in yesterday. where does the vote stand? how do you see this breaking? it looks like a staring contest where neither side will blank? >> obviously it looks like a game of chicken. the bottom line is, the vast majority of caucus supports kevin mccarthy. we had our elections back in november and he received 85% of the vote. yesterday on the floor he received 91% of the vote. the bottom line for me is these folks, you know, need to get onboard. kevin has negotiated in good faith with them to address their concerns. we have made over 20 rules changes that will be adopted by the conference when we elect a speaker. for them to continue to gripe and air petty grievances, frankly, is disgraceful. they need to get onboard so we can get about the work we were elected to do. we were elected to govern. too many of these folks want to hold us hostage. >> you are right, they are hell-bent and show no signs to change their votes. how do you change the minds
