mike tobin begins our coverage in myrtle beach. what is it looking like? >> it is surprising how calm it usually is on the backside of a hurricane. isaias downgraded to a tropical storm as it moves northward. landfall was just after 11:00 last night. the eye of the storm hit just half an hour north of where i am now. in ocean isle, north carolina caring with the winds clocked at 85 miles per hour. we are into category one hurricane status as it makes landfall and as promised it did indeed bring a lot of floodwaters with it, with the rain and the timing so close to the tides. and unexpected consequence of this hurricane was it sparks a number of house fires a structure fires. the fire department was reported to battle a number of different structure fires. it was expected to bring a lot of floodwaters. it hit 2 hours after high time. there was a lot of concern about storm surge, rain and high tide all at the same time but it seems some of the effective was trying to go out, the tidewater tried to receive, you have all the wind with the storm, driving the wa

mike tobin, thank you very much.ell how many times have we got together on this show, other shows, violent protests that turn deadly. here we go again. what do you think? >> it is quite a sad situation when we're looking at numbers according to one report in 2019, there were 1004 people shot by the police. when the broke broke it down by race, african-americans were shot at higher rate. notwithstanding if there was a situation that may have happened, the person may have a gun or knife, whatever the case may be, it is still pretty large numbers whether we're looking at civilians and the police. this is very disturbing trend now. this situation, in and of itself we really need to wait for the facts to come out. we really do need to wait for the investigation to be complete before we begin to make suggestions about what exactly happened. it didn't make sense to me that a police officer would shoot some one in the back seven times while their kid in there it seems. very excessive with a number of officers. again so impor

ainsley: mike tobin begins our coverage live in myrtle beach. yesterday we were following reporters in florida and then you all moved up the coast following this storm. good morning, what's happening there? >> well, it's pretty calm here right now, ainsley, good morning pete, and brian, as the storm is moving up the east coast at a pretty good clip now downgraded to a tropical storm. isaias made landfall as a category 1 hurricane just after 11:00 last night with winds clocking in at 85 miles per hour. carrying with it plenty of rain and water. the storm made landfall about two hours after high tide but as we often see with some of these storms as the tide waters tried to recede the winds from the storm drove them back. plenty of flooding in myrtle beach. the streets close to the water got about 2 to 3 feet under water. cars were soaked. people were soaked. one thing we saw in ocean aisle, north carolina, where the eye of the storm made landfall is a number of house fires. crews there report that they battled about five different house fires. but
