that may force san jose leaders to change policy at mineta airport. janine de la vega is live at the airplane. i i can imagine taxi drivers are feeling pretty threatened. >> reporter: yes, they are. you know, airport officials know that these rise sharing companies have been a game changer. we were talking to a cabdriver when an uber driver pulled up to the curb and the cabdriver was not happy. today, the san jose city council is set to vote on whether to permit uber lyft and others to pick up passengers here. these type of companies have grown in popularity and are seen as a cheaper alternative compared to taxis. last year, sfo permitted uber and other companies to operate there. the proposal has caused a big upset among cab drivers and they are concerns that they are gonna go out of business because of the exe ticks. we spoke with both an uber and cabdriver. here's what they had to say. >> they don't have -- we pay for the city -- we do the inspection. have all of the insurance. pay all of that. they didn't pay anything. that's why they got rich. th
